Yes, but I think the idea was perhaps to show that they're putting more effort into this than the minimum?
True, I'm just really hoping it materialises like evil Big Brother in 2004. Otherwise it will just be a massive let down.
Also, I wonder if there will be any play with the Celeb sponsor (Dreams) when CBB is meant to be a nightmare They could definitely do something with it, at least it wouldn't be the irritating adverts used during the last CBB with that sweetest feeling song.
Why make the effort now? Wonder if they'll change the main theme too - again three years too late, but anythings better than last years (well, this years!) drivel. Perhaps they'll go the whole hog and finally shut Marcus Bentley up too!
As for the BBLB debate - whilst no match for Dermot at his peak (BB3-BB5), I do think George is better than Dermot was in his last couple of series - but it's the format of the show which lets it down. Was much better in the early years when it was unashamedly a fanzine programme and would much rather talk to the executive producers than random zeleb #35.
Perhaps they'll go the whole hog and finally shut Marcus Bentley up too!
Marcus Bentley IS Big Brother... if it wasn't for "Daaay Eiiiiiiight in tha Big Bruther House" then there wouldn't be the following there is, with thousands of people impersonating him over the years.
That's the problem - he epitomises everything that is wrong with the show. You look back at the early series and he spoke properly and concisely, rather than slowly, exaggerating every syllable and then going on to inform us the location of every living creature within the house, recapping how many minutes it is since the latest argument happened and generally giving us far too much information.
I'd like C4 to ditch him too once Big Brother is over - I just can't take him seriously as a continuity announcer anymore.
Marcus is fine, like Davina I think he is intrinsic to the show whilst on C4, without either its just another reality show.
I think the effort is being put in because I have a feeling Channel 4 will either resurrect the show a few years down the line, or Endemol are pulling out the stops to ensure a future contract. And theres nothing wrong with the theme tune so I don't know where the poster above gets that idea from! Its like Corrie or Eastenders changing its theme.
Some aerial pics have been taken, again the new effort has been extended into the house design and looking like no costs spared unlike last year where you could see where the astro turf had been patched up. The living room has been moved, completely new wall covering in the garden. Taken from the Daily Star so buckets of salt required with descriptions.
It looks like they've axed the industrial/space theme judging by the garden so I expect indoors has had quite an overhaul too. New living room is most likely in the main house.

I must admit, the time they had a bridge to nowhere made me laugh every time it was abbreviated by Marcus:
"Daaaay Fifty Fourrrr, Eeeeeight twenty twuu pee emm. Brian is in nooowherreeee"
