See let's what we've had and what we now have with regards to BB aspect ratios so far this year . . .

BIG Brother Panto - Sponsorship credits - Widescreen.
BIG Brother Panto - The actual program - Widescreen.

Hmmm, was this a sign of things to come? Had BB actually finally upgraded it's presentation to 16:9 output?

Celeb BIG Brother - Sponsorship credits - Widescreen
Celeb BIG Brother - The actual show - NOT widescreen!

Rolling Eyes

Come on Endemol and Channel 4 . . . get that BB equipment upgraded for widescreen output for goodness sake!

I always wonder why this fact works so many people up. It's 4:3- who cares??????

I think they care because being in Widescreen gives a show a much better appearence and over-all 'look'.

Think that's why - like you, not sure though!

When Jeremy was getting his check outside the house, I'm pretty sure I heard the guard saying "don't worry it's only for the cameras".

Yep, it was quite clear. Laughing

Yeah, I heard that. Then Jeremy was like, 'Oh thank god, I thought I was going to get beaten up!' Prat!

Big Brother Panto was filmed at Endemol's Bristol studios as part of a contract by Endemol with E4 to provide reality formats, such as Kings of Comedy and Fool Around...

A shame I agree - it certainly isn't impossible for Elstree to upgrade, but they choose not to.

So the actual eight celebs are:
John McCririck
Germaine Greer
Caprice
Bez
DJ Lisa I'Anson
Jeremy Edwards
Kenzie
Bridgette Neilson

A few further points:

Arrow The winning celeb wins £50,000 - to do with what they please. Actually makes a nice change from winning for charity.

Arrow 9p from each vote goes to the Tsunami appeal, with an unconfirmed further amount being split between the celebrities charities. Some have chosen the Tsunami appeal.

Arrow The house - this is how it should be each year, keeping the same basic layout with a few modifications. The spa / sauna area looks fantastic.

Arrow Presentation wise - the new C4 font actually looks quite good on the show. Also, they've ditched the pointless outdoor stage, so perhaps the studio will have a bit of a makeover to.

BBLB felt very different in it's late night slot - different, not better. And the tabloids always convince themselves Endemol are sex-obsessed!

More news on the charity situation. Votes cost 50p with 16p being split equally between the celebrities chosen charities. A further 9p will go to the Tsunami appeal after C4 and Endemol agreed to give up their profits. The Tsunami appeal is also the designated charity of Bez and Kenzie, meaning 13p will go to the appeal from each vote made.

WHAT? Mad

Whats the bet that...
Arrow John McCririck walks after a few days
Arrow Caprice and Bridgette row
Arrow Bex loses his temper (like Ahmed)
Arrow Germaine controls the kitchen
Arrow Jeremy gets over image conscious
Arrow Kensie becomes his shy inner self
Arrow Lisa reports to the Diary Room more than any other housemate

Nice to see John McCririck without that ridiculous hat for once however its not a pretty sight! Mad

It's highly likely that whoever wins the money will donate it to charity anyway, which would most probably be the Tsunami Fund.

I've just switched this on momentarily, it's most odd.

It looks like John Mcririck and Germaine Greer are babysitting Kenzie from Blazing Squad.

Bez is too perma-stoned to lose his temper

Being the feminist she is I suspect she'll get the men to do their share!

I think this year's line up is inspired, and mirrors BB5's desire to get a mix of all ages and perhaps clashing personalities. Wasn't going to bother with this series until I realised Bez and Germaine Greer were taking part, now I'll have to Smile
