Yes, I think the Sun pushed the lie a bit too far with that. If they'd just stuck at Jade it would be more believable.

Grr! Mind you the papers reported that Michael Barrymore would be going in last year and he was living out of the country at the time so I didn't believe that - yet he was a housemate and finished second.

Who knows - if Jade (and family) are in there, I shall find it very difficult to keep sane. That is beyond scraping the barrel, it gets worse every year! I can almost guarantee David Hasselhoff might be a possibility.

It seems desperate and contrived enough to be true. If it is it will be a new low for the show.

Other "Celebrity" versions of the show abroad quite often use ex-HMs as "celebs".


If they are going down that route, I don't want to see one chosen by producers - it's got to be down to the viewers. Also, I'd rather see a former celeb housemate (but not John McCririck - I'm still in therapy after that!) than a regular one.

It might be worth mentioning that on trying to get a publicity shot of Davina from Channel 4 for Celeb BB, they initially said "there will be no photos of Davina available for Celebrity Big Brother 2007".

Point being? Not trying to be intentionally rude here, I just genuinely may have missed something?

In fact, Davina is the only one to have had new press images released for CBB - for Dermot and Russell they reuse the BB7 ones.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the point is that rumour has it (ie, it was in The Daily Star) that Davina is drinking again and has attended AA meetings and thus is thinking about pulling out of presenting CBB or some such and this adds fuel to that fire.

I doubt that's entirely true - she's probably seeked help for Post Natal Depression but she gave birth some time ago now.

I don't think Davina is drinking again. Don't people who go to AA never leave? Maybe she went back seeking help because she feared she may start drinking again, and if so, good on her. She hasn't pulled out of presenting because we would have heard about it, and a new publicity shot of her was released, it's on all the BB fan sites and on the official site itself I think.

The Daily Star article - based on what a so-called friend said - basically implied nothing more that Davina WOULD attend meeting IF the pressure of the third child and her career became too much!

And isn't it supposed to be Alcoholics ANONYMOUS - but to much for the gutter press to respect that I guess!
