The show shouldn't be pulled, but I do think the way producers have handled this has been embarrassing. I hope we get a new set of producers for BB8. A revamp is certainly required, and no doubt after this week, which was arguably triggered by the pointless Goody twist, that's exactly what we'll see.

It does need a kick up the Arse, the current lot are running out of ideas
Big Brother pretty much has a new set of producers every year - there are a few that have been involved over a number of years, but generally they move on to more senior positions and don't have direct responsibility for the show.
Knowing Big Brother they'll hit back in the summer as they normally do and the first person in will probably be a member of the BNP or something!
while by this time next week this will be all forgotten!
There will presumably be an Ofcom ruling still to come, although knowing Ofcom they will decide the show should be pulled and release this news the day after the series ends
There's 2 ways the next series will go.
They will either tone it down a bit, or continue to push the boundaries yet again, but run the risk of having serious problems if it all kicked off again.

Well the current bunch (I assume the same lot who were working on BB7) are useless. Just like they were during BB7. The format is stale now, and does need reinvigorating. This 'racism row' was a long time coming really. There was always going to be something that would eventually blow up in their faces - it was one twist too far. It essentially went, in just a few days, from being a rather promising series to a deeply unpleasant one.
We lost bold characters like Donny and Ken over it, and now we're left with horrible people like Jack and Jo. Ian, Dirk, Shilpa and Jermaine are the shows only saving graces IMO.
'Editorial&Opinion', Janet Street-Porter, yesterday's 'The Independent':
"…, but the unedited stuff which spews out all day and night long on digital television is more problematic. … But Channel 4 cannot be seen to condone offensive behaviour; they should give all the housemates a good talking to and
install a time delay
on everything they transmit."
Erm, ….
I think it is quite ridiculous that Russel Brand is blabbering-on about 'The international serious issues'—I cannot see a correlation between eleven people being killed in storms, and 'C.B.B.', or between the U.S. bombing Somalia, because they are the only serious issues I can think of.
Actually, on second thoughts, I find it very alarming, and serious, and frightening, that Gordon Brown, and Tony Blare (I think?) are getting envolved in a
television programme
!
It'll take months for OFCOM to reach a decision - most things about BB7 weren't concluded until around October/November.
IMO there are two issues there - the broadcasting of it (no case to answer IMO) and the care of duty towards participants (questionable - depends on the views of the HMs).
Back to BB8, it is widely agreed it's time for another shake up like we saw after BB4.
BB5 provided the much needed revamped, and BB6 developed that format well, but BB7 stretched it out that bit too far.
The fear is that if, as expected, Big Brother leave Elstree for a new house after BB8, they'll leave any major changes until they have the new house to play with next year.
There was the theory that a flop Celebrity Big Brother would lead to an improved series in the summer, but I guess the concern now is that now the ratings have rised, it won't be considered a flop.
And ironically, apart from the introduction of Jade and family, this has been the most twist free series probably since BB1/BB2.
Yet that twist wasn't required. Why have a twist within in two days of the show starting? It makes no sense. It may have been twist free, and perhaps the show would have been even more worse off (if that's possible) if there were more twists, but I do think that there have been some uncomfortable scenes shown this week.
Regarding the ratings rise. This is obviously a short-term thing, and I'd like to think the producers are clever enough to realise this was because of the controversy, not because the series itself was any good, and that changes are needed. I'd rank this series as one of my least favourite tbh.
I'm a massive fan, but I haven't enjoyed the show as much this year.

Isn't the care of the housemates the responsibility of the HSE, or someone to do with civil issues? Isn't OFCOM's remit just the fact that it was broadcast?
