My conclusion after all this is she isn't racist even though throughout this thread I have said she is & isn't
She is however clearly very ignorant & bigoted in the sense of the surname issue, as the asian man said on BBC News, Shilpa Shetty is not hard to pronounce and Jade would have been better to have called her Shilpa Patel, or Shilpa Ali, which although is very stereotypical would have come across alot better than Shilpa Popadom.
Who's to blame for this blowing out of all porportion... The red tops (again). At first it was 2,000 odd complaints & the day the red tops did their whole "she's a discrace & racist" double page spreads it shot up to 25,000 complaints.
I didn't watch virtually any of this incident but read alot in the papers, the Evening Standard, Metro, London Lite & TheLondonPaper have all covered the story alot better.
The Sun (one of the papers who gave her her fortune) had the number to evict her on the bottom of the page.
