I like how The Sun want rid of Jade for being racist, when the Sun itself is hardly 'fair and balanced'. It's always got anti-Muslim headlines. The day before their Goody frontpage their headline was "BOMBER IN A BURKA". .
He was a bomber in a burka. That's a fact, not an opinion.
The thing is whatever stance they take now, they'll be getting out the cheque books for the "I'm not a racial" (sic) exclusive!

I hope they change the format of the show and reiterate the severity of what has gone on.
Well, there does need to be changes to the format but that's an unrelated issue IMO.
Actually, this series has probably been the most "twist" free there has been - certainly since the introduction of Jade and the end of the servants task there hasn't been anything you could consider even to be a minor twist.
And as I've said before, (I've said that before alot in this thread too), but it's the lack of structure to the celebrity version of the show that has certainly played a role. They've had little else to do but bitch all day as most of the tasks have been relatively short.
Also, having no nominations for extended periods meant that minor irritations, which the nominations would have allowed HMs to get off their chest, have built up into, leading ultimately to the situation this week.
As for what producers should have done - it's difficult to call. After Mondays show I thought warnings for the terrible trio were in order, then after Tuesdays I understood why that action hadn't been taken as there was a willingness, from Shilpa at least, to try and build bridges.
Last night IMO saw the flashpoint argument which warranted Jade being kicked out, yet tonight again the conversations with Shilpa - and to a lesser extent the girls, implied they should be left to deal with things by themselves.
I stand by my opinion that C4 were completly right in what they have broadcast, and they are completly right to back the way Big Brother has generated a national debate - however uncomfortable it might be.
I think PR wise they could have handled it better - a statement to the effect of "We are talking to all HMs about the situation" on Tuesday morning would have calmed the situation.
And finally, actually some praise for the Government. There has been the odd MP who has called to C4 to be stripped of their licences and all that, but from the politicians that matter they've on the whole given reasonable responses and while dealing with (or avoiding) the situation, they haven't over-reacted.
who could take that statement seriously from C4 with him dressed like that
Never mind how he dressed, it's his words we should judge Andy Duncan on. And his response showed him to have little backbone. "It's great racial issues are being discussed?" If done properly, yes, but this is racist bullying and worryingly, it appears to have pushed BB's ratings up.
Duncan played the perfect intransigent TV exec, in full "we won't pull BB because we'll lose vote revenue" mode.
Apparently Jade has been talking to Big Brother in the Diary Room concerning the race allegations but the live feed keeps cutting to the bird song so details are sketchy.
And Cleo has apparently said something along the lines of "Maybe we should walk out with you".
david dimbleby: "she was called a poppadom today, apparently"
might have helped the debate had mr dimbleby [and many of the other panelists given the vague manner in which they are trying to discuss it] watched a little of the programme he is trying to discuss.
i also believe many of the other people with their nickers in a twist haven't watched the programme, including the reactionary politicians who have jumped on the bandwagon, or at best seen the short, out of context clips shown on news programmes.
yes it's irritating when you hear "i've only seen snippets," or "i don't watch it, but but from what i've read..." Ann Widdecombe a case in point, when she was wheeled out on Sky only to proudly announce that she hadn't watched a single episode.
It'd be good to see who you have voted for to be evicted tomorrow night (if you have indeed voted).
I have voted
Jade
to be evicted.
no, it wouldn't. this thread is for
discussion
of big brother - not for an endless list of one line replies stating "i've voted for xxx". quite frankly i couldn't care less who you have voted for. start another thread for that if you really care that much.

Yeah your right...I apologise for my suggestion which would have resulted in repetitive responses .
