but shilpa herself hasnt expressed and concerns to them.

Of course she hasn't I don't remember Jack saying **** to her face, everything is being said behind her back!

It's bullying, ignorance and thanks to Jack racism!

From what I'm watching tonight, I don't see racism, just plain nasty bitching from a bunch of no-marks who haven't achieved anything worthy themselves.

I would like Shilpa to do well because she's interesting and funny, and probably has some fascinating stories to tell.

I've gone off Jade in the strongest possible way, as well as her nobody boyfriend and that silly little football fooker. How she dares to spout opinions when all she's ever done is open her legs to an old man is beyond me.

I'm hoping I have the opportunity to vote any of them out tonight.

Obviosly, I'm only speculating, but I think that perhaps Jackiey genuinely couldn't remember Shilpa's name. She lost two years of her memory in a motorbicycle accident, and, I can imagine that when one hasn't seen it written down, 'Shilpa' could be a hard name to learn. To me, Jackiey has a 'I am who I am, if you don't like who i am, tuff!' air about her, and perhaps she felt offended that Shilpa didn't like Jackiey not knowing Shilpa's name. I think that she thought 'I've told Shilpa that I won't be able to pronounce her name, so I won't go through the malarkey of trying to get it right, and just call her "Princess"'. I also think i can see that Shilpa found it offensive that Jackiey 'refused' to learn her name. Jackiey then tried to prounounce shilpa's name there on, but got annoyed by Shilpa's attempt to make-up, by saying "You can call me 'Princess' if you like.", I think Jackiey was thinking - rightly or wronlgy - that it was fake, pre-empting nominations. I think that perhaps "the Indian" was a careless attempt to identify her, without going through the name recall, and loosing her flow.

I don't know what I think about the racism issue with the chicken, and being dragged into the toilet - increasingly the social groups in the hjouse are becoming divisive. Oh long the days when the only conflict was Leo being silent Confused !

The house has fallen apart since Leo and Carole have gone. They did bond it, I think, however annoying, Leo's annicdotes, and the repetive"This is Big Brother . . ." impressions kept a certain morale, even if gthey started to get a bit irrating. also, i think that Carole's personality added to the house, I can't put my finger on how though.

They're all bullying behind Shilpa's back - well Jo, Danielle, Jade, Jack especially. There is no racism going on. It could be said that they are bitching about her because they're jealous of her career.

Hmm, interesting how Jo's now playing the crying "i'm missing home" game...

Re: Jackiey - I do agree that she just couldn't get her head around it so gave her a nickname which was perhaps inappropriate. I don't think it was a deliberate attempt to offend at all.

Don't think Leo going was much of a factor, but Carole was definately the uniting factor amongst the housemates, especially amongst the girls - and I think, or at least like to think, if it had kicked off with her in the house she'd have made it clear it was wrong.

On to tonight's show and I understand more now why BB haven't taken immediate action tonight - they showed alot of diary room footage from Shilpa and she especially wants to try and resolve the situation herself and leave previous arguments in the past, so would probably not appreciate interference from Big Brother.

Talking of the media, quite alot of former HMs have come out today - not seen anyone from BB3 though

Craig (BB1) and Narinder (BB2) were on BBLB and Narinder also on Five News. Derek (BB6) and John McCririck have been on Sky News, Sezer (BB7) on BBC News 24 and Carole Malone has made a few appearances in various reports.

If I was one of the executives at Channel 4, I'd pull the series. Imagine the acres of press coverage, and the huge viewing figures for the inevitable post-drama interviews with the contestants.

And, more importantly, imagine the huge coverage, controversy, and vastly improved ratings when a new 'make or break' revamped version of Big Brother, complete with tweaked format and new presenter, debuted in the summer...

It would certainly inject some life into an increasingly ailing brand.

Jack: "You could take them out with your teeth, Shilpa"

He really is a nasty piece of work.

am i the only person who would give up on watching the programme if they all got along and were nice to each other? at the end of the day this is entertainment, the "celebs" or in some cases ex celebs are being paid for what they are 'enduring'. they are free to leave at any time, they all signed up of their own free will and no doubt they will all profit to some degree after this is all over.

please save your concern for the real injustices of the world, or for the real victims of bullying who aren't continuing to take part in a gameshow for their own gain.

Yeah, he doesn't want to be in the house at all - get rid of him, he's just a bad smell.

You stick a camera on 'em, I'll empathise.

Seriously though, if the point is for me to get involved. with the resultant loving or loathing, then bravo C4. I feel involved.

Yay, I'm taking part.

Well said!

As I said before (somewhere if not here), the controversy around this will do alot more to highlight the issue of racism and bullying than any campaign, supported by Jade Goody or not, would!

And thank god tillyoshea doesn't run C4! It's like saying if a child is bullied at school the school should be closed down!

On a slightly unrelated note, I spotted Nikki (from BB7) in Edinburgh tonight. Of no fault of my own I may add.
