its interesting that you chose to view jermaine's remarks in context, whilst not affording the same to jackiey's. in as much as she is ignorant and inarticulate.

true, although if it had been Jermaine referring to Jackiey or anybody else as "that white person" in an eviction interview i might have posted something completely different.

This show is a clear fix, jade and company all have the same agents as does Cleo, Big Brain is making Shilpa look stupid when she has been the victim of racial and psychological bullying, and Channel 4 are carrying on like nothing has happened!

(on live stream) What's up with Jo? Looks like she's having an asthma attack? Confused

Im glad to see that this was a main story on Five News today. It is out of order, and Jade, Jo and her crew should all be evicted. Leaving the rest for a fair contest.

I have been disgusted by what I have seen on CBB. Racism has no place in the 21st Century. Channel 4 is letting everyone down by not instructing the contestants in question to cease their disgraceful behaviour, even worse they continue to provide a platform for such abhorant talk and taunting to be broadcast.

Jade, Jo and Danielle's activities put them in a dreadful light - my opinion of Jade has lowered further than I thought possible and whilst I liked Jo to begin with, I now can't wait for her and her cohorts to be evicted.

The main point of the show is to manufacture tension and you're complaining about the outcome? This is fantastic telly, if you don't like it then don't watch.

I kind of think the opposite is true - it's putting the issue of racism and bullying into the public domain more than any anti-racist or anti-bullying campaign would ever do, and although opinion is split on whether it is actually racist, it's showing the vast majority of the country won't tolerate racist or bullying behaviour. Well, not on TV at least!

That suggestion doesn't fly with me mate. What if that outcome was physical abuse? Is that great telly? Is reducing someone to tears for their own fame great telly?

I didn't say I didn't like the show (although Davina is getting markedly worse), I said I don't like the behaviour of three contestants. The rest are fine.

And with over 3000 complaints to Ofcom later... do we think this is the last ever Celebrity Big Brother?

I have to say, I stand by Channel 4's statement and whoever those 3000 people are, clearly don't understand what the show is about. Its NOT RACISM. You have to let the likes of Jackiey and Jade go over your head. If anything, its bullying.

I only watch it when it turns nasty - Schadenfreude ist die schönste Freude after all.

I don't think it's the last (well, there new deal covers a series each year), but I think it might be rested next year - not due to this, but due to reports that they have to quit Elstree in August anyhow.

As I said prior to this series launching, I doubt they'd want to unveil a brand new house with Celebrity Big Brother - they'd leave it for the main series.

The only way we'll see CBB this time next year is if the Elstree deal is extended again, something previous reports have indicated won't happen!

Big Brother 'Racism' Raised In Commons
Tuesday January 16, 04:52 PM

Labour MP Keith Vaz has tabled a motion in the House of Commons about the allegedly racist treatment of contestant Shilpa Shetty in Celebrity Big Brother. Mr Vaz said members of his Leicester East constituency had contacted him with concerns after watching the show.

The early day motion calls on the programme "to take urgent action to remind housemates that racist behaviour is unacceptable".

Media watchdog Ofcom has received 3,500 complaints relating to the alleged bullying - the highest

number ever made about the show - while Channel 4 has received a further 1,000 emails and calls.

Housemates Jade Goody, Danielle Lloyd and Jo O'Meara seem to have ganged up on the Indian beauty.

Monday night's show saw them mock her attempt to roast a chicken and initially refuse to eat it, claiming she had not cooked it properly.

Jo did impressions of Shilpa's Indian accent and complained that the actress had touched housemates' food with her hands.

"They eat with their hands in India, don't they - or is that China?" asked Danielle, adding: "You don't know where her hands have been."

Jade's mother, Jackiey, repeatedly referred to Shilpa as "the Indian" while she was on the show and refused to pronounce her name correctly.

Newspapers claim Jade has been dropped by an anti-bullying charity she has supported for two years because of her behaviour on the show.

A show spokesman said it had to balance a duty to give an accurate portrayal of what was taking place in the house with the need to avoid giving "unjustifiable offence" to watchers.

"We take this matter very seriously and Big Brother does not tolerate bullying or racist abuse in any form," he said.

"Big Brother is closely monitoring all the housemates and will take appropriate measures to reprimand such behaviour where necessary."
