Well it was until they started dicking about with it!

That was a little bit mean of Big Brother. Jackie desevred it, but not Jade.

Good result I suppose, shame they didn't let her say goodbye to the others though. You have to admit it's classic Jackiey...leaving the house with a carpet burn on her back and wearing no shoes Laughing .

When will they show Cleo's punishment on the Live feed? 10.30?

Should I change the title to ''Who stays you decide''? now.

Not sure - it might be for this week only as they are saying "THIS WEEK you are voting to save" - so hopefully they'll go back to normal next week.

Why hopefully? I think a 'Vote To Save' will be a good thing for the show if it is kept.

But isnt the point of Big Brother is that the viewers vote to evict rather than to save.

Exactly Jez - it has always been the thing which differentiates it from other reality shows.

It backfired tonight as well - Jackiey is the person voting to save should have saved!

And yet in a vote to evict, she'd have lost as well!

And she would have survived if it was a 'Vote to evict'? Not at all.

At least with 'Vote to save' last year it would have saved certain big characters from eviction. Nikki was evicted last year but would have no doubt survived if it were vote to save. Okay, so she came back but not only was that twist ridiculous, but her behaviour was so bloody contrived after she'd been out and learnt why she was so popular, that it just wasn't fun to watch. At least if she had stayed she would have been the same as she was.

Fair enough, it differentiates from other shows by being vote to evict, and some people seem desperate to retain it, but if it's going to mess up the show which I really think it did last year then what's the point?

On to tonight's result, I thought it might have been Jack but I won't miss Jackieye. It's sort of indicative of the state of the show and the kind of people watching at the moment, when you have audience members cheering Jade and Jackiey but booing Shilpa. For what? What has Shilpa done exactly?

Jack must go next - totally pointless and deserves no purpose in the house whatsoever.

I am glad Jackquayyy has gone, she is racist, I can't believe Endemol allowed this to be broadcast, they are taking British tv to an all time low!

she may be inarticulate and ignorant [notably in the way she interacted with shilpa] - but i'm not sure that counts as racism?

I hesitated about replying to this. I think the "I can't remember/say your name because its foreign" is a type of racism, but its so deeply bundled with plain ignorance it's difficult to tell.

That's my point!

And the argument that voting to save would have avoided Nikki being evicted last year is another reason it should never be used!

Nikki was a big character, but you need the shock evictions and the departures of the big characters to make the series work. When Nikki went it was her time to go (as coming back proved) - and apart from for the whinging Nikki fans, the series didn't really suffer without her as other characters came to the forefront to fill the void.

Talking of Nikki, notice now on rhe eviction packages you're referred to terms and conditions on the website, such as the following:

Quote:
6. Voters acknowledge that in order to keep Big Brother exciting, and both housemates and viewers on their toes, the paramount rule of the game is that Big Brother can make or change any of the rules at any time as part of the editorial process.

7. Channel 4 may at any time suspend, withdraw or re-set voting at its sole discretion.

8. Under no circumstances will there be a refund for any vote cast (including where a housemate has already left the house for any reason) or for any misdialled calls. Channel 4 will announce whether any housemate has left as soon as reasonably practicable on the Channel 4 website.
