Stop dissing the euro

No. If I wish to show my disapproval of a currency that needlessly replaced several good currencies, then I shall.

We still use Pounds Sterling here, and we shall continue to do so for many years to come. Don't ever forget that.

Was it pre-recorded or was it timeshifted a little? (the launch show)

What now youre keeping me in my place? I live on the border so I use both Steirling and euro on a daily basis. Im not trying to get rid of the Pound in fact at the beginning I thought the euro was crap with the exchange rate but now its ok

Shut up about the **** Euro - this isn't the place for that debate! Let's not see a perfectly decent 18 pages so far ruined by a completly unrelated issue!

Re: Live show - it was delayed by a few minutes due to being pre-watershed (annoyingly) - OFCOM have virtually banned live TV events!

We'll find out by how much tonight when the time checks in the show gives it away. I can never understand how with the UK it seems to be a delay of 5-15 minutes, while the US standard is 7 seconds!

I've never understood why they don't just change the clocks in the house to match the time delay?

wouldnt it be too much trouble? Don't know if any of the clocks are analogue and then they would need someone to go in to change them.

That old guy (4gotton his name!) was either drunk or stoned! He was sooooo funny!

They only have one clock on the cooker - and it would just be a case of offsetting it 15 minutes before the HMs moved in.

It's also pretty rare now for the shows to be delayed - it's only if they include live links to the house pre-watershed or if they have to clear out the crowd by 11pm.

I seem to remember in BB2 when Bubble reset the clock and they were without time for the entire series.

Just a bit of uninteresting trivia for you.

A bit of a much needed new look to BBLB tonight - with the random features dropped in favour of a more panel based show, with Dermot spending most the show sat at his perplex desk talking to guests Germaine Greer and Kenzie.

Yeah, I noticed BBLB had a new grown up feel to it. Although I don't know what making it into a crap version of 'Big Mouth' is going to achieve. Confused Rolling Eyes

credit to Donnie. I suppose he realises he's an absolute nobody and sees becoming an imitation of Johnny Rotten as his route to stardom.

He made the show tonight though, which was very enjoyable and certainly made me feel less concerned about the line up.

Also enjoyed Jo and Danielle's comments as people were arriving.
