Jade's out of rehab apparantly, claiming it was worse than being in the BB house!

Interestingly while the Sunday papers are still tied up with the non-scandal, the programme broadcast before it, to which this article refers, is now at the centre of last week's terror plot.

Police have seized all tapes of Dispatches: Undecover Mosque, which was filmed in a location near to last week's arrests, and C4 are banned from screening any excerpts of it.

What exactly is the difference between the celeb version and the normal version? Do you not think what happened on Celeb BB couldn't have easily have happened on "normal" BB.? Normal people can be bullies and racists too you know not just celebs Rolling Eyes

I don't blame Russel for fleeing this sinking ship.

I am well aware of that. However the Celeb version is just rubbish and IMO needs axing. They can axe the whole lot for all I care, I wouldnt miss it since its run it course now.

It's been axed before. It definately needs resting, certainly for next year, but I don't see why it wouldn't work if it returned in the future.

They've just got to change the focus - be great if they could get it back to celebs giving up a couple of weeks for FREE in aid of charity, but I doubt it.

The main problem with CBB though is the complete lack of format - there are too many HMs for such a short run, and the nominations and evictions haven't been taking place regularly enough. I'd say cut it back to 8 HMs, 2-3 weeks at most with two or three evictions a week.

Was it officially axed though or just resting for a few years?

How many weeks in this years Big Brother meant to be running for?

It was announced as axed by C4.

No official word on this year yet, but I expect it'll be about the same. Kevin Lygo was often misquoted last year - he never said 13 weeks was too long, he just said they wouldn't do it any longer.

I'd expect it to fall somewhere between 11 and 13 weeks, and nearer the 13 to be honest!

And considering they're up to 93 days, I'd be very surprised if they didn't hit the 100 day mark in the next few years.

I preferred it when it was 9 weeks. Didnt get so fed up of it then (depending what the housemates were like of course, BB4 was boring but BB2 and 3 were the best)

Amusingly, our version is still relatively short compared to most worldwide versions - 100 days is about the norm.

But the original intention of running it originally for nine weeks was that it was going to be punchy and tight for the audience it thought it was going to attract. Modern Big Brother needs more focus, really.

Indeed it was. They said there was going to be no more after the 2nd (I think) one but then decided to bring it back

I think its a shame Brand has quit BBBM. It wont be the same without him.
