Firstly, let me start off by suggesting that this thread title be changed.

Stupid scheduling this evening. The main show including the eviction is on at 9pm and then there is an hour gap for another channels reality show cast off before Big Brother resumes with the eviction interview and Big Brother's Bit on the Side. I like Big Brother's Bit on the Side, but it just on too late for me to watch.

What format will Channel 5 buy the rights to next? ITV1's Farmer wants a Wife? Ha ha.

Almost a month on since a post! Poor Big Brother...
Seems that "Turd-gate" is about to blow up again as Maisy confirms on Twitter that Jay did a poo in the freezer...

(Never thought I'd type something like that on here...)

Big Brother's Bit on the Side is coming from the Big Brother house this evening. The housemates are locked in the house but can watch the show through the windows.

Not 'poor Big Brother'... The show died last year on C4. Television has to evolve sometime before it implodes on itself ! Laughing

Wow. Alex came out third, at very least I expected her to be the runner up! Never third!

The winner of Big Brother 2011 is Aaron! With Jay as the runner up..

This has to be the first Big Brother where I didn't watch the final, or gave a toss who won. Wow. Shocked

Same here! Even on some of the worst series on C4, I was still tempted to watch the last week or so and especially the final night.

I wonder how long C5 will continue to flog this dead horse before giving up on it? Shocked

I'm the same, but did watch quite a bit of the celeb series, and saw how well produced it was. I wouldn't be surprised if they just did celeb bb for the near future.

I watched the celebrity series and it was really interesting, however I think I'd prefer it if they just had a weekly summary version at around 1 1/2 or 2 hours.

The normal version, I watched the launch, didn't like any of them, didn't watch any of it. It's too long really for me anyway. 2/3 weeks for celeb version is enough.

I'm another person who didn't really watch this series but I did watch the celebrity series. From the couple of episodes of this series I did see, they didn't really seem to be much wrong, I just didn't feel like investing the time this year. The only criticism I would offer is the episodes that featured product placement, featured too much product placement. I'd have thought Big Brother would have been the perfect programme to introduce unintrusive product placement for any number of products but the episode which was little more than an advert for a film really looked stupid.

Big Brother's Bit on the Side was very good too. Put that on earlier and stop using it and the main show to prop up some other nonsense.

It's whether that is financially viable that's the question. Personally I've always felt that solution was rather short sighted and actually ditching the celeb version and concentrating on getting the main version right is what is required.

The simple fact is though C5 should never have resurrected it so soon - and certainly shouldn't have just picked up where C4 left off without addressing a single issue which led to the demise of the show on C4.
