Big Brother 2011 on Channel 5

Thought it's worth mentioning that 'Bit on The Side' does not follow Big Brother tonight, Big Brothers at 9, The Bachelor it at 10 then at 11:05 is Bit on The Side.

It's Channel 5, they'll be happy with a regular 1 million!

It's highest audience for a programme (I.e. not a sports event or film)

So C5 Big Brother feels the need to flash up name astons for housemates (Although..for some of them we don't even have a clue who they actually are)

I didn't realise this was live again tonight. Good idea to use the name captions. They used to make a point of showing the photograph of the person they were talking about on Big Brother's Big Mouth, especially at the start of a series.

I don't like the faces of the contestants in the flashes between the scenes and I really don't like the way they're trying to give Marcus Bently a personality. He just can't cut it IMO, I never liked him as a C4 continuity announcer.

They could do with some subtitles for Paddy, let alone their names! Agree about Marcus too, if they can get rid of Davina and the show still be successful then Marcus is definitely disposable in favour of someone who can pull off having a personality.

I actually like Marcus when he's just doing the normal narration, it's just anything else that he does I don't particularly like! This role just doesn't require personality.

I do like him but if they wanted a Come Dine With Me esque narration then they should have just gone for someone else over Marcus. Great that they've switched to vote to save. It will work better on the celebrity one but the jury is out on the ordinary one.

They messed up the voting details a bit at the end didn't they. Showing Sally's picture when giving Kerry's details. Leaving Bobby's details on screen for ages (in comparison to the others) and then giving the wrong number to vote for Sally. Whoops.

Did it overrun? My recording got cut off.

They'll need to correct that on BOTS and on this weeks highlights shows and mention the error otherwise they'll be in a spot of bother and that's not good for the first eviction! It did overrun, it ended at 10pm on the dot. You didn't miss anything.

Day two and they have already got rid of the Skype gimmick from Big Brother's Bit on the Side. I hope they keep the spunking dog. Is this live?

EDIT : Apparently the dog was peeing on last nights show. It was on the show today and he made it clear that he was peeing. Emma Willis referred to it as a 'pissing dog' too. I guess they had to use something that would show up on camera rather than real dog urine or water. This probably led to the semen confusion yesterday. Did you know that they used milk in the film Singing in the Rain so that it would show up on film? I guess this is a similar situation.

They did make reference to the wrong number being read out on the main show too.
