Well they can't have a line-up any worse than I'm a Celebrity.
It's still unconfirmed, but it's looking highly likely that Little Brother and Big Mouth have been axed and instead a combined spin-off, Big Brother's Big Eye, will accompany the show, with George Lamb likely to front it. A pilot is being filmed around 4th December, which doesn't really leave much time for them to scrap the idea before schedules are published for the first week of January.

Assuming its going to be an hour long then they could easily scrap it and have BBLB and BBBM on back to back. If it is going to be just half an hour, then theres a bit of a problem unless of course BBLB goes out on Channel 4 in the morning as it did in 2006.

A key issue is where to schedule it as Big Mouth and Little Brother have very different audiences - and if the new show is the two effectively merged I can't see the Big Mouth elements working as well pre-watershed in an early evening slot, and similarly the BBLB elements won't work as well following the show either - and it's difficult to imagine them not showing anything at all until the main show itself.

Shows how desperate they are to get it started as early as possible
It also means it'll feature as a 'festive highlight' in Christmas TV listings magazines

For the other member who still watches, it returns Friday 2nd January. BBLB and Big Mouth remain intact, with George back on Little Brother and Jack Whitehall fronting Big Mouth.

2nd January...jeez....they are flooding us with reality TV in desperation now.
Apparently Andrew Sachs' grand daughter might be one of the housemates...
This country is on it's backside, it really is!

Programmes for the new year tend to have less coverage to those airing on Christmas Eve/Day/Boxing Day/New Years Eve/Day in the Christmas double issues of the mags so could be a good thing!
But yes I agree it does show how desperate they are for viewers.

A TV show wanting viewers - what a crime! For the record though since it returned in 2005 it's always launched soon enough after New Year to sneak into the Christmas schedules.
Does seem a bit soon, but the theory is they're launching on a Friday because they're restricted to just 5 non-Friday live shows a year (with a crowd), so launching on the Friday saves them a midweek slot for an eviction either during Celeb or for BB10.
Hells Kitchen is also returning on ITV in the New Year so naturally they want to get in first too.

2nd January is too soon IMO. There would have been more anticipation if they left it until about the 8th.
Its interesting that they are choosing a Friday launch after saying they would never do that again.
