By the looks of it, Life on Mars is sort of a 'Doctor Who' spinoff isn't it.
I'll be watching CBB anyway, to see how the public take on Barrymore. Hopefully they will ignore the press and wipe the slate clean before him entering.
If he's bad once he enters then fine, let people talk. But if he's not, and he proves himself. Let's hope ITV resurrects Strike it Rich aswell as Bullseye!

But it isn't though, the guy gets knocked down and wakes up in 1973. But is it real or is he still in a coma and it's all in his head, at least it's something different.

(quote"cylon6") The family of Stuart Lubbock willnever know the truth. There's only one thing that makes the murder of a loved one worse and that is not finding the person responsible.
Murder? Since when was this a murder case? Or ...what makes it an assumed murder case and the body found in Art Malik's pool not one?
Just curious

I think Stuart Lubbock died in very dubious circumstances with injuries to a certain part of his body that I don't think we should go into. The Art Malik one was an accident I think but what happened in Barrymore's pool suggested foul play.
So you have decided it was murder based on the varied reporting of the tabloids. I refer you back to page 4 and littlesmeggers link to the considered article by Mark Simpson . Interesting how the facts were distorted to suit the tabloid agenda.
If Barrymore was guilty of anything - it was of leaving the scene and not taking responsibility for a fatality that occured on his property.
Facts that were smoothed over as they did not suit the sensational hype surrounding the death :
1. The post mortem revealed that Lubbock was a habitual drug user. Rather than the innocent vicitm of forced cocaine use.
2. The assembled guests were largely heterosexual - rather than the gay 'orgy' protrayed by the tabloids . ( Although it doesn't really matter either way...just the homophobic tabloids like to slant things )
3. The body was found at the bottom of the pool face up, not floating on the surface face down .( and all that that 'suggests')
4. Whether there was a question of rape or not ...nothing has been proved . But consider this - many supposedly 'straight' men indulge in gay sex. If indeed gay sex took place. It was reported that an anal thermometer was used to take the temperature of the body several times before the postmortem which could account for the injuries of the deceased.
I am not an apologist for Michael Barrymore - just very aware that what we read in the papers is not necessarily what happened. Therefore one should be extremely careful when one tosses around a word like murder.
Under our legal system a man is innocent until proved guilty. And this was not even a murder case...let alone a murder.
Re: Barrymore - I remember he was on The Salon a couple of years ago. Remember one of the staff who didn't know who he was putting his foot in it when they asked him if he wanted to use the jacuzzi!

THE CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER HOUSE
The celebrities will live in the same Big Brother house that was used on Big Brother 6 last summer (2005) and is located once more within Elstree Film and Television Studios in Hertfordshire. The house has been redesigned for this series of Celebrity Big Brother by Peter Gordon but retains some key elements from the summer.
However, this year’s Celebrity Big Brother house has some newly created areas; a relaxing spa, which includes a sauna and indoor pool. Plus there is a gym. There is also an outdoor log cabin, equipped with a heater and bench area for the celebrities to sit in.
There are no double beds in the glass-fronted bedroom, and the bathroom and shower have been brought into the house and are located in the one bedroom. The only other toilet can be accessed through the living room, which is enclosed within a glass box in the garden. Once more, there is also a separate dining area for the housemates to eat in, located next to ‘aspirationally’-designed kitchen.
Let's start indoors. The main living area remains unchanged, as does the lounge. There are some changes in the bedroom though with the corner where Derek slept removed to make way for an indoor shower area - which appears to be open to the bedroom.
The garden is where the main changes occur. With it being the middle of winter, it's not going to be used for sunbathing - so the garden has been made smaller with a few new indoor areas for our celebs to enjoy.
Firstly, for the first time in BBUK we have a gym:
I remember a story years ago about a man that said he was raped by a man when in reality he went out to dabble in homosexuality; he just made it up. This could be what happened here, in so much as Lubock may have tried homosexual activity. The way the papers reported didn't help.
However my viewpoint remains the same he was never directly implicated in Lubbock's death and wasn't found guilty. But he also did behave in a tawdry way prior to these events.
It's been reported in national newspaper "The Mirror" that the family of Stuart Lubbock, the man who was found dead in the swimming pool of entertainer Michael Barrymore in 2001, have urged the celebrities who are entering the "Celebrity Big Brother" house on Friday night to question him relentlessly until he reveals to them the truth about what happened surrounding Mr. Lubbock's death. It's not yet actually confirmed whether Mr. Barrymore, who was proclaimed innocent after a court inquest shortly after the incident, will be taking part in this series of the hit television show. The Mirror claims the swimming pool which has been built in a redesign of the house provoked the father of Stuart Lubbock to encourage the celebrities to "not shy away from the difficult questions". This link reports.
It looks certain that's not going to happen now. According to a number of papers today, Channel 4 has told Michael Barrymore strictly that he must not talk about the incident.

Moderation Edit - please refrain from posting unsubstantiated claims which were not only unnecessarily graphic but could also be potentially libellous. Don't forget - the internet is a form of publication. Just because you can't be seen doesn't mean you can't get into trouble. Don't say anything on here which you would not publish in 'real life'.
