I only recognise two names out of that list.

Far too many!

Would be interesting to see the real Johnny Vegas but will probably end up killing his comedy career.

I tend to guess who the housemates will be judging by who's celebrity status has gone bad/faded out in recent times.

Not necessarily, it didn't do Jack Dee any harm at all

They should make it an alcohol-free Big Brother house, that would please Johnny Vega (and others). Laughing

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but channel four are now airing the cbb break bumper. It's basically the same as the bb break bumper with a star in the middle in the style of this years eye

Man 'odds on for Celebrity Big Brother win'

Ireland On-Line posted:
A man will prove the winner in the forthcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother, bookmakers William Hill tipped today.

Young female viewers, who prove big voters, tend to prefer male contestants, the bookmaker said.

A man is likely to win at odds of 4-6, based on previous predictions, spokesman Rupert Adams added.

Odds are also 1-2 that at least one contestant will walk off the show early, which begins on Thursday.

“The majority of people who vote for Big Brother contestants tend to be young female viewers, which automatically makes the male participants the favourites to win,” he said.

“But before you put your mortgage on the best-looking housemate, remember Bez. I rest my case.”

The Happy Mondays star won the third series of the reality show in January.

Today, the Daily Star reported that Home Alone actor Macaulay Culkin will appear on the show.

Others tipped to step into the Big Brother house include entertainers Michael Barrymore and Jimmy Tarbuck, You Are What You Eat host Gillian McKeith and pop star Boy George.

My tip to win from the current rumoured crop is Ralf Little.

Rumoured celebs so far then:

MALE - tipped to go in:
Boy George
Dave Berry (MTV)
Ralf Little
Johnny Vegas

OTHERS:
Maculney Culkin
Michael Barrymore
Daniel McPherson
Pete Burns
Shane McGowan
Scott Wright (Corrie)
Dennis Rodman
Jimmy Tarbuck

FEMALE - tipped to go in:
Gillian McKeith
Rusty Lee
Anna Nicole Smith
Nikki Sanderson

OTHERS:
Liza Tarbuck
Esther Rantzen
Jocelyn Gesien
Jodie Marsh

Of those in the "tipped" category, I think that would be quite a good mix of characters. CBB generally are quite good at getting a decent mix of characters, rather than going for the 8 most famous people they can get.

Unless Barrymore is trying to get his UK showbiz career revived again I think its very unlikely he'll appear - also considering he immigrated to Australia.

Shane McGowan will probably do it and we'll have the new -but slightly more narcotic(?) -'Bez'.

Pete Burns has pretty much confirmed he's going in on the Dead or Alive website. Although I suppose it could all be an elaborate double bluff.

The 'Sun' is claiming Barrymore is apparently only doing it for the money (he's bankrupt). He knows there will be a huge backlash - all the papers are already saying CH4 have sunk to new depths - so he'll be whisked in at the "11th hour" to avoid the baying mobs expected and flown back to Oz immediately after he's left.

I agree with the papers. If he did go in it would be a new low for the show (they just keep on coming don't they?) But this is Big Brother desperate beyond belief. I wonder if they'll send in the mother of the bloke found dead in his swimming pool? That should stir things up Rolling Eyes

Why is there a fuss over Barrymore?!

I liked him, he's a brilliant entertainer.
