They got it wrong way round this year - last year they let slip names that weren't too famous, then when we the actual housemates turned up it looked like they'd done quite well. This year it's been vice versa.

The celeb status doesn't really matter though - it's the mixture of characters which makes Big Brother work.

Having said that though, they really could have done with one or two more bigger stars, especially female. Just having Anna Nicole Smith instead of that American "actress" would have boosted the celeb credentials significantly.

Good ratings though for episode one - more than a million up on last year with an average of 6.5m, peak of 7.6m.

From tonight though they've got competition with Soapstar Superstar - though having said that ITV1 pulled in 8m viewers against it last night - and even E4 pulled in nearly 500,000 for ER.

Barrymore being in this doesn't annoy me as the show is a bit of a last chance saloon for celebs. But Galloway does because he's a paid MP he should be sorting his constituency out!!

There's no rules to say what MPs can or can't do once elected. They don't have to do any work for their constituents, or even make any appearances in the House of Commons if they don't wish (and indeed many don't).

Galloway's constituents voted him in on an Anti War ticket, and he's in the house to promote his Anti War movement. He believes he can achieve more and reach far more people in the Big Brother house for three weeks than he can achieve as a lone MP in the House of Commons for those same three weeks.

Barrymore has been one of the most entertaining so far, and how predictable is that! Very Happy

Defacing the Queen, Studying a Cactai needle, taking the 'Micheal' out of Dennis on the treadmill... that was hillerious!

Micheal: Is 120 good for a heartrate?
Dennis: Hmm... yeah I suppose... (not paying attention)
Micheal: 100... is that good?
Dennis: ....yeah...
Micheal: 80?
Dennis: ....yeah...
Micheal: 70?
Dennis: ....yeah...
Micheal: 6?
Dennis: ...yeah...
*Micheal pulls a funny face and pretends to faint on the bike. Dennis doesn't even notice. Micheal gets back up, and sticks his tongue out at Dennis*

Just watching 'Celebrity Big Brother's Big Mouth' on E4 - yet again (the most) fantastic show involved with BB, really funny and well thought out! Russ is a legend!

Completly agree. The old E-Fourum was awful but Big Mouth really came through over the summer.

I just wish they'd put it on earlier in the evening - with BBLB now in the morning there is nothing before the main show (except Diary Room Uncut a couple of days a week!).

Taped BBLB this morning - interestingly it's branded BBLB and though Dermot introduced it as "Little Breakfast", he refered to it as "Little Brother" throughout. Didn't seem too happy with the time slot either! Won't be taping it every morning though!

George Galloway has irritated his constituency and I can't say I'm surprised.

BBLB shouldn't be on Channel 4 at all at any time of day. You don't see any other reality shows having their spin off show on the main channel. It should be on E4 really

What's the problem, Anne Widdecombe spent weeks on Celebrity Fit Club, didn't see anyone complaining then.

Perhaps if our politicians were to engage a little bit more in popular culture, they might find people more willing to vote for them and partake in the democratic process.

I hate the fact Galloway is in there to be honest. So far I'm hating the man. Mad

Barrymore is very on the edge of breakdown isn't he... Confused But then again his 'act' was always on the edge, so its difficult to tell what sort of person he's trying to be. Looking forward to the psychologists [Geoffrey Beattie's] review on him (if they are in this series).

Biggest game player so far.. JODIE MARSH!!! Evil or Very Mad Switiching on the sympathy act for attention is the lowest of the low. For example, whilst watching the live stream...she was getting all tearful saying she hates the newspapers etc and people have bullied her since she was 11 and she just wants to be loved. Next minute.....she's happy as larry. I'm sick and tired of her playing the 'love me I'm sexy' game on every TV show! - Oh here she goes again... CLASSIC PLUG: "I' ve had a lot of upset in my life and if you buy my book you'll know about it.."

As for the others, well, hmm.... I'm surprised but I think Maggot is brilliant. He was fiddling with the plasma screen earlier trying to see what was on! Laughing

The blonde one (Chantelle) sounds to me like Ruby from EastEnders.

Chantelle everybody.

I thought that Chantelle looked like someone vaguely familiar on launch night, but I couldn't think who it was. Now that you've
posted those URL links, it has to be said the resemblance between Chantelle and (pointless) Paris Hilton is almost uncanny!

There should be a fairly obvious difference between slagging-off someone because they are annoying or talentless, to insulting them because of sexual preference or gender alignment. "

Fair enough - but one's opinion of talent is merely that - legions of Barrymore fans would disagree with you . It is merely your opinion and not fact. In terms of free speech why should it be okay to slag one person and not another. Either all opinions are allowed to be expressed or not at all. Yours is as much a personal attack based on your own view as are the opinions of those who attacked Nadia for different reasons.

(There are no doubt many Barrymore fans who find your views unpalatable too! )

Here's my merely personal view. Jodie Marsh - who ever thought too much makeup , chavvy dress sense, a voice like a cheese grater and a trout pout qualifies her as attractive? Don't get that at all!
