AXE IT! AXE IT! AXE IT!

Rolling Eyes Twisted Evil

Just dont watch it . There are programs I dont like, Eastenders for example, but I dont go into threads about them demanding they should be axed. Rolling Eyes

Neither do I normally, but its a personal opinion and although it may be surprisingly performing well in the ratings war, it has terrible reviews and I really think ITV should take drastic action and axe it for their own sake. Cheap rubbish like this should not be on a 50 year old terrestrial station, especially with the same churned out 'celebs' we see time and time again. If this was on five or Sky One etc for example then I could understand it, but I really think this is an embarrassing move for ITV what with Corrie writers getting annoyed as well.

You may not like EastEnders, but I'd like to know how you compare this to CLI. Rolling Eyes

But why does it bother you so much if you dont watch it? A lot of people watch this series so why should they axe it, especially as there is only just over a week to go.

I dont compare CLI to Eastenders because I dont watch EE. EE has had terrible reviews in the press over the last few years and most people have said its rubbish, but I dont go around saying axe it.

Jez no offence but we don't have to watch CLI to know it's s h i t , as soon as it was mentioned it sounded s h i t to me and thankfully this time, most people have agreed. It's one reality show to far, it's cheap dire entertainment. It's one of those programmes that ITV think everyone will watch but this time the only people that have watched are people who "lord knows why" adore ITV and pretend it's a fantastic channel when at the end of the day the world and his wife know it's a badly run and managed Network that provides piss poor programming and is a shadow of its former self.

My point entirely. I'm just thinking of the state of the channel rather than the programme.

I have watched CLI from the start and the series has improved week on week.

I found it quite amusing in Ian Hyland's page in The Sunday Mirror where he has mentioned that the media are now scrambling to cover the antics on the island and have totally changed their opinion on the series:-

".......And those storms out in Fiji have nothing on the amount of wind expelled by certain other pundits back here.

The same half-wits who are now fighting to be the show's biggest ally, spewing forth GMTV-sized vats of oily praise.

Yes, there were mistakes. It should have only ever been a 10pm show. The live streaming should have been restricted to ITV2. And ITV should have realised the first two weeks might need a helping hand in the entertainment stakes."
