From the ITV Website:

Get ready for temperatures to soar in Fiji.

Yes, there's not one, but two additions to Love Island this weekend.

Just when you thought that Paul Danan had either attempted to bash or hump every living thing on Love Island, we throw in a couple more!

In just 24 hours, Paul Fisher is joining the Island.

‘Paul who?!’ you might cry. ‘Paul Fisher!’ we holler back.

You know him! Paul Fisher the professional surfer! No?! still not sure? Then maybe you’ll remember him as that guy Abi gave her phone number to earlier this week.

Ah! Now you’re with us.

Yes, Abi tried to woo him with the line “I’m the cutest girl on the Island,” but now he gets to discover the truth. Will Titmuss get to grips with the poor chap, or will he choose to ‘ride’ another (that’s surfer speak, you know)?

But we wouldn’t dream of leaving our lads out in the cold.

To warm their cockles, we’re throwing in ex-Playboy pin-up Nikki Ziering.

Nikki leaves little to the imagination.

After stripping off in the glossies, she did a nice turn as an, um, stripper in American Pie 3, but managed to keep her clothes on in Austin Powers: Goldmember.

And just to demonstrate that she’s up for it on national TV, she battled a few bushtucker trials in ‘I’m a Celebrity’ (the US version)

How will the boys handle the sultry star? How will Calum cope with the Californian lovely? Will Abi stand a chance with any man now that another ravenous blonde is on the scene?

Keep your eyes peeled, people, because it’s about to get steamy!

A new low for the programme. At least I'll be watching Craig getting evicted from Big Brother tonight.

So they are letting Paul come back then and the lines are open to vote off one of the remaining celebs.

Please let it be Abi or Callum.

I haven't watched tonight...surely Paul would be voted straight off again?

it was Michael Greco who was voted off tonight. Apparently there is to be another eviction tommorow as well. They are really starting to get rid of them now!

Not watched this since I turned off in the first episode - but one thing of note is how desperately ITV are promoting it, especially in comparison to Big Brother.

ITV promote it quite often using idents, and almost always in their ECPs, along with a few trailers every night, with the announcer trying to make events sound like much watch TV

Meanwhile, since the launch of Big Brother as a pretty regular C4 viewer last night was the first time I'd seen the nights episode advertised - with nothing more than a soundbite of the night's episode and "Big Brother - Tonight at 10pm".

I've said it before and I'll say it again... ITV are just constantly desperate this year! Rolling Eyes I saw Charles Allen on local news tonight - Grrr.... Evil or Very Mad

Why the heck does ITV have to lanuch these rubbish reality shows, then give it the axe when it was predictable that viewers don't like that rubbish!!!

Id rather watch this than Big Brother Rolling Eyes

It hasnt been axed, ITV always intended to drop the live coverage at 11pm, that was only meant for the first few weeks. The rest of the time its in its usual slots.

this year, you've obviously got a short memory what about all those high rating dramas and stuff that were on in January, February etc?
Since about May perhaps is more accurate

And what does "desperate" actually mean when it comes to a TV channel?

And what has Charles Allen got to do with it, I doubt he gets involved in the comissioning process at all, he's more concerned with the business end.

I managed to watch this for the first time this week. Is it me or are Patrick and Kelly's scenes done behind a chroma key? It certainly looks like it on their close-ups!.

Right, From about May then...ok.

"Desperate" = in need of viewers/ratings etc.

Charles Allen = Chief executive of ITV - whoever he is, he is still head of the channel.

I have to agree that ITV have been very lazy with their schedules and programmes for a little while now.

Did they really think that they could palm off such rubbish as Chav Celebrity Wrestling & Chav Celebrity Love Island and not expect people to have a go?

But hey Charlie boy you keep sacking staff, closing down studios and losing advertising revenue, as soon or later you won't have many viewers left to watch your third rate programmes!
