How many weeks is it on for? It's on nightly at 10pm by the way, so even if it does flop it's not in the important 9pm slot anyway
You have to consider that although people like to take the moral high ground there are millions of people in this country who are obsessed with celebrity and love to know the latest goings ons, you only have to look at the large number of Heat style magazines on sale.
As ITV aims for the higest number of viewers they have to commission this sort of rubbish

No, anything that has 'Celebrity' in the title is an immediate turn off for me.
its supposed to be ITVs BB beater!! They'd like to think that, Celebrity Wrestling was supposed to exterminate Dr Who. Instead, it has bombed as it so obviously would.
I bet they dump it from the schedules within 2 weeks! I dont know about a timescale, but it definatly wont do very well. BB has a loyal audience and a great reputation, celebrity love island sounds desperate. Like I said in your other thread, clearly ITV want to boost their ratings by hoping to have on screen sex, which sounds a bit pervy to me (and im no prude!) ITV are aiming at exactly the same audience as Ch4, so when both programmes run against each other this is going to be bad news for the viewer. However, due to BBs reputation, I dont think Ch4 have much to worry about. BB6 will be a ratings winner, CLI will crash and burn.

It's 6 males 6 women apparently, viewers vote for who they think should be paired together for a date off the Fijian island.
Friday nights are 'eviction night', an hour long show at 9pm when a boy and a girl are voted off. So I guess, potentially this is a series for 6 weeks.
Apparently this idea came about to arrest some of the decline in the summer due to BB, and it's getting established a couple of weeks before BB starts.
Anyone know who the presenter is ? Not Kate Thornton surely ? I know far too much about this, it's a worry.

Oh, I'll answer my own question. A search on google has thrown up that Celebrity Love Island is to be presented by Kelly Brook and Patrick Kielty.

ITV have overdone this whole 'celebrity' thing. I'm getting fed up with seeing them just in it for easy money and the attention! i.e. Rebecca Looser and Abi Titface!

There's also a new series of The Farm starting tommorow on Five, no doubt the same old suspects are appearing on this as well?
People don't tend to start online rants about that one though, what with it not being on ITV1, and not having the word 'celebrity' in the title

According to digitalspy its probably got another 2 weeks left before its dumped, so that means they will show 5 of the 8 episodes.
Why is everything on here, 'according to digitalspy' lately. Can't we find out and comment on news ourselves!

Well tell us another source then? The DigitalSpy news reports are usually right (note, this wasnt just a forum member saying this!) No doubt it'll be in MediaGuardian sometime during the week anyway.
