Although Digiguide suggests otherwise in their latest listings - both Radio Times and Ceefax are suggesting a gap over the next few days for an hour between 6am and 7am!
So it should see the return of Ceefax AM for a few days - and hopefully some decent music to go with it!
According to the Radio Times website the gap continues into the following week as well, so its appears that it's a permanent thing. Looks like BBC2 are cutting back on CBBC and CBeebies!
And not before time I have to say. It's about time CBBC started at a more reasonable time at 7am. It always used to start at 6am over the Christmas period or on Bank Holidays which is how it should be.
A 7am start time for CBBC is ideal I think. I've also noticed that CBBC finishes at 10am instead of 11am starting from tomorrow.
I'm very rarely up early, but I was today and TBH Ceefax was more entertaining than Breakfast and more informative than The News Hour, nice to have it on that time of the day too, provides the basic News and Sport at that time.
Plus some music too, though I'm scaring myself by saying this, as I'm not a very pro-Ceefax person.
It's about time that Ceefax returned as it is a good way to ease yourself into the morning getting some information and listening to music. I also find it is a good way to do some normally boring tasks, for example polishing shoes or cleaning as you can listen to the music and get news at the same time.
We should also be getting some good idents and if it is on for three weeks thats 15 idents so we could have a different ident each day...
Out of interest why do the pages go round in circles? After about ten minutes it goes back to the beginning again - I always thought that it would give news and weather then go through every page from the bottom to the top.
