I think I read somewhere that Ceefax didn't have an advent calendar this year for some reason.

The Christmas countdown on BBC Text is good. They probably havn't put it on Ceefax as it's almost out of date, and soon they'll be removing the service for good (I think).

I think it will be a long time before the BBC will cease Ceefax broadcasts on analogue TV - it won't be going without a fight anyway!!

Mine too! And as for Ceefax not going without a fight - let's hope it does fight - for breadth and amount of information it's unrivalled by BBC Text. And if you are a regular reader like me (sad I know) you'll know how quick p150 is at breaking news as it happens - dare I say it's far faster than News24!

I especially like the 'CHATTERBOX' section on Ceefax, you don't get that on BBCi text!

Indeed - and for all you young people there's Backchat - on p503 which featured YoungJournalists.com a few days ago!

I hope that all the stuff from Ceefax will move to BBCi in the end.

It had better as I love pages on ceefax.

Yes full of people always complaining that this week's Buffy/Star Trek whatever nonsense has been cancelled for 3 weeks due to Golf

I prefer Ceefax to BBCi text, there's more information and features, and the information fills the screen (which I prefer)rather than sharing with the broadcast. BBCi is easier to use though...
I emailed Ceefax@bbc.co.uk a while back with a lengthy list of comments and questions regarding differences between the services. Heard nothing back yet though...
