John Roberts introducing the tonight's CBS Evening News lead on child pornography gave this warning to viewers: 'because this is a sensitive subject, you may want to talk to your kids or you might want them to leave the room now'. There weren't even any crude details or images that were shown. It was an over-reaction.

In Britian the anchor might just say 'you may find some of the following information disturbing' - if at all.

And you thought Britains over-reacted to Brass Eye - how would the Americans have acted. They would have had a 10 minute disclaimer before the show!

They do the 'graphic content' warning a lot, when it comes to sex they are very cautious and nauseating. Yeah, we've got problems over here…

God 'Brass Eyes' wouldn't even have COME CLOSE to making it on TV here, no way in hell!

Talking of warnings, this is the first time I've seen one on BBC News Online :
