I can imagine a lot of babies getting their dad to complain to BT on Tuesday Laughing

The new HD channels launch tomorrow:

Also Sky HD subscribers will get the channel swap for all the new ones except BBC News and they're also going to swap BBC1 in NI, Scotland and Wales and BBC2 in England.

BBC News HD now showing a spinning globe animation with caption, along with a loop of what sounds a bit like the countdown.

Also, should this thread perhaps be renamed to include all the new HD channels launching tomorrow?

Any caps? It sounds like the BBC team pulled out all of the stops to get this ready before Christmas. An excellent job on their part to get everything sorted so quickly.

That's excellent. Thanks so much for sharing. I never thought we'd see the day of BBC News in HD!

Me too . . . in fact I have it on at the moment! Laughing

BBC Three/Four HD have also appeared on Sky's EPG, but at 210/211, I'm guessing they'll swap over sometime tomorrow morning.

I remember reading about how much work went into launching BBC One HD, so they really must've gone the extra mile this time to get 5 channels all launched in such a short space of time. Thumbs up

Unfortunately, this won't stop the TV Licence critics on the Daily Mail.

I've been lucky to see BBC News HD since last week its definitely good its not the finest HD in the world but its better then the SD pixelvision, its a shame today its back to SD for one day, oh well.

Anyway looking at the loop suggusts me to see refreshed titles? there's extra things going on in that globe which suggusts this.
