CBeebies HD/BBC Four HD

Assuming you've done a retune - COM7 is on UHF channel 32 - I've seen confirmation that the mux is up and running from Black Hill with Al Jazeera English HD on channel 108, and the placeholders/slates for the new BBC HD channels on 74/106/107.

It is broadcasting at lower power than the other multiplexes, so its possible some Black Hill viewers will be out of range for COM7 (www.digitaluk.co.uk/coveragechecker has more information).

Some cheap supermarket brand Freeview HD receivers are reportedly not coping with the extra HD channels.

I'm back home on Friday - can't wait to see what channels I can get (from Winter Hill transmitter). Did you get BBC Four HD and BBC News HD. Borgen in HD would be a treat this weekend!

They are not on air yet on Freeview HD - just the MHEG slates as placeholders.

BBC Three HD definitely is, its come with its usual hideous DOG.

Just done a retune, COM7 is indeed on air from Winter Hill.

I suspect it was a brief EPG/SI test, no sign of it last night, or this morning on my Humax ?

It was removed this morning again.

Some programmes on CBeebies HD it was upscaled with the HD version of the DOG, CBBC had the same upscaled show but with no DOG, BBC News HD still upscaled.
