CBeebies HD/BBC Four HD

BBC Three, CBBC going out upscaled for the moment.

I am getting that as well harshy. It could be likely now that people who will receive the HD channels will get them twice because they are shown on separate labels. Oddly enough, the BBC News channel label 8921 is shown twice on my combi-box's EPG at home.

How long will it take for BBC News to begin satellite testing in HD?

Providing the BBC aren't planning to launch more than 4 HD channels per transponder, the video for BBC News HD can't appear before BBC RB HD is off air.

I've heard talk on another forum of a December 10th launch for all services, not sure how likely that is though. Also, Jack Whitehall on Alan Carr a week or two ago mentioned his new chat show (with his dad) on BBC Three would be in HD, and I think that starts soon?

Of course, it'll be available in HD on iPlayer from tomorrow evening.

Well we all know its upscaled but it looks quite good upscaled I almost couldnt tell the difference until i saw the dog on the left.

True. But we should assume now that the start date for these HD channels will begin on the 10th of December.

BBC RB HD has now been removed off the Freesat, Sky and Virgin Media EPGs. It continues as a static caption on Freeview HD channel 303, but the channel has been removed off the service table (part of the data streams that accompanies the DTT signal).
The stream needs to be off the EPGs before channel tests can start in their place.
I lost BBC Four/CBeebies HD last night, but they are back again today, with a red button prompt linking to BBC Red Button text service (via Freesat).

8921 now mapped to the static screen of BBC RB HD on Sky, and BBC RB HD's pids have been removed now so it is now gone, its a question of now who will press the big button to swap the source over to BBC News HD
