just wondering if anybody knows anything about how long in advanced cbeebies continuity is recorded, and for that matter anything else fascinating about the channel.
i've found myself watching cbeebies more and more now, and i am amused when i see the various presenters go through 3 or 4 changes of clothes per day.
It was on the internal BBC intranet site today that they're moving CBeebies links recording back to TV Centre from Teddington. They've been at Teddington for some years now. Originally they recorded links in TC Zero (the former virtual reality studio (think Record Breakers) that was previously the spectacularly under-used Television Music Studio). They moved to Teddington after deciding the deal they were getting from the Beeb wasn't good enough. Apparently, they've had a better deal and have decided to move back to TVC to use TC10 (a former news studio, N1 I think). They're going to be entirely tapeless apparently... Of course, they should be moving to Salford in a couple of years anyway...
I don't know how far in advance they record links nowadays. It used to be about a week I think, but things may well have changed!

Links are recoreded a good week in advance. The change of clothes come about as there is only about 8 specific links a day, the rest are generic links that run all week or two weeks, so presenters appear to change clothes quite a lot!
No I didn't launch this thread, lobster did. What is it that makes so many other users think that any mention of CBeebies on here is by me?
Well that you've gone a month into the past to find a mention of it doesn't really help your case does it.
To be fair, I doubt that time travel was involved. He probably just looked on page 5 or something.
If Tumble Tower was capable of time travel, I imagine he would go back to that eventful day in the early 1980s and find that classroom assistant and kill her before she had the chance to say "B2" instead of "BBC2" and change Tumble Tower's life forever.

Doubt it. More likely take a video camera back, record the poor woman who started the charade, return to the present day and stick it on YouTube.

TC0 is now occupied by R&D - I've not had a chance to see what they're doing with it these days, but I'd imagine some of its VR bobbins is still in use.
I can think back to when I was younger I used to love saturdays on cbeebies because they would have 5 rooms (red -Pui , Green - Sid , Blue - Chris , Pink-Sue and Orange - Niccole) and there would be a door to each one and you would spend an hour with each presenter in there little room those were the days.
