It looks as though CBBC will get an overhaul later this year to a sort of coloured in paper look.
The current look has been around since 2007, and was refreshed to a 3D look in 2010. So basically after 6 years almost they needed to change the brand.

Here's a link I found: www.behance.net/../4043245
(I think it will work!) and if you type the 'CBBC Rebrand' into Google and several links and vimeo videos of the rebrand will show up.

If the rebrand goes ahead I doubt it will be a strong and recognisable look like the current.

Plus, I think its time [/iICbeebies[i] gets a new look. After all, their yellow blobs look has been here for 11years.

Oh dear. Just had a look - really not a fan. CBBC needs to be wacky and zany, not mellow with paper cars everywhere.

A quick glance clearly shows that this is a project devised by a student at the University of Salford, and not an actual rebrand ordered by the BBC.

http://www.behance.net/christinecharnock/frame/4043245 is the link.
http://christinecharnock.wordpress.com/tag/cbbc-rebrand/ is another.

The blog posts were made in May last year, so I wonder whether they weren't accepted in the end.

EDIT: As mentioned above, this isn't a commissioned rebrand attempt. The age of it was a bit suspicious.

Didn't read through the pages properly... I'm glad this isn't a serious rebrand... It just isn't strong enough.
However, the BBC do have to consider rebranding a few of its channels. Maybe take the move from TVC and ITV rebrand into consideration.
