CBBC on Nick

anyone remember CBBC on Nickelodeon?

Yeah they had the CBBC logo (just the BBC blocks logo but with another C block at the beginning) stuck onto the random Nick logo of the day. I've got a breakdown at the start of Pingu where the VT clock makes an appearance. Of course me finding it has as much chance of my website coming back!

Yep. It was largely pre-school stuff and was all linked by Otis the Aardvark. The links were produced by CBBC Presentation.

When I saw it back in 1997, it was a different puppet character (can't remember the name) and a different studio to usual CBBC.

No, Emlyn the Gremlin came after Otis (and didn't last very long). I seem to remember a kangaroo, but I might be wrong.

Thinking about it, you're right. It was some Otis-related character perhaps. . . thinking caps on....

I remember that not-Otis-but-not-Emlyn character in '99. The ident featured kids painting the screen orange.

What happened to Emlyn, anyway? I think his last appearance was in a prerecorded bit on Ana's last day in 2001. He said "I've been watching you very closely" - not sure if that was directed at Ana, or us.

It was ment to be Otis's cuson I think.

Yes, you mean Dave Chapman. I have to admit I keep getting him confused with Mark Chapman! Somehow though, I don't think the bloke who did Otis's voice shot John Lennon.......
