Yer and when analogue is no more, CBBC Digital will sound a bit odd. as all channels will be digital. its not like angelica currently sez 'and now on CBBC One on analogue...'
And CBEEBIES? what???
i would also like to know how the logo will work for that.
C|B|EEBIES
or
just plain old CBEEBIES. i think theyll av to come up with sumthin orignal and more playschooly.

CBBC Digital is a terrible name.

After all, when you switch SKY Channel 101 on at 3.25pm, you are watching CBBC ONE Digital.

And as for CBeebies, lets hope April Fools Day has come a bit early or late

EDIT: Wooops! Didnt read the full piece first and I thought there was only one channel with two names. Confused I have deleted most of my rambles, however one of my points was valid though:

Dontchya think that C-Beebies will roll of the tongue of a toddler in much the same way as Tweenies and Tubby-bye-bye (etc..)?

Cbeebies is probably one of the more original things to have appeared out of the BBC in the past few weeks.

But how they brand it to BBC is anyones guess.

Still, if Lambie-Nairn's behind it, which he says on his website he is, I'm sure it will be rather good.

<then again I do think the new BBC 2 things are good, the old 2's had to change at some point!>

No they didn't! They could have lasted another decade without change!

(Quickly tries to get back on topic)

CBBC Digital and Cbeebies - naff names. They make one of the rumoured names, CBBC Playbox, sound good. Even BBC Kids would have been better!

What colour boxes are they going to have plastered on their trailers/idents/captions then?

Well yes, Its OK as a joke name, a sort of unofficial name, But for the official name of a channel run by the British Broadcasting Corporation, no way!

Is this some sort of hideous dream? The BBC are really taking the p*ss. What is wrong with CBBC 3 and CBBC 4, I know its not imaginative but its keeps a brand.

..... The BBC taking a way nice idents, and replacing them with cheap yellow rubbish, then sticking a huge purple box on it, don't they learn anything from CBBC yellow idents all the time make you sick. BBCi, argh its BBC Online damn it! OK keep the name or interactive stuff but for the site, NO, and its not just that they stick a ITV style i in there they are really joking. I'll add more to this later because i'm sure they'll do more to annoy me.

Well, Cbeebies is quite fun I guess. At least someone is trying.
(C)BBC Playbox was quite good.
CBBC Digital is a bit rubbish really. Dyke really is loosing the plot today isn't he?

<off-plot>BTW - the TWOs only needed to change when the channel name changed from BBC TWO to something else. And definately not before.</off-plot>

I really like Cbeebies as a name for the pre-school channel - it has a real Teletubbies and Tweenies resonance.

As for CBBC Digital - it kind of fits with the existing CBBCOne, CBBCTwo and CBBC on Choice brand.

'And don't forget - there's more from the team on Newsround Lite on CBBC Digital' - has kind of the right ring to it to end Newsround?

I wonder if we'll see Cbeebies on Two in the morning? That would be kind of cute cross-channel branding?

Having seen some other stuff floating around internally I think the older channel may just be branded CBBC on air - rather than having the additional digital as well ... but we wait to see.

Do we know which channel will host which?

I presume CBBC Digital will go on BBC Choice (or 3 if it happens) and Cbeebies on BBC4 ? Or will they go to the trouble of creating two separate channels on Sky and ITV digital, which will only be active when the children's programmes are on air (like UK Drama, UK Food etc.)

And have they said what hours they will be broadcasting?

It has already been mentioned by the BBC that the childrens channels will have seperate EPG entries for the proposed BBC 3 and 4 which would operate during the evening, and CBBC Digital and Cbeebies. So yes, it will be like two (or four) seperate channels, but when e.g. BBC4 is on CBBC Digital wont be on.
