Hey! I have just been watching CBBC and thought I could do a thread on CBBC!

I think the bugs are a good idea for a logo. They look wacky (for kids!) but I think that Andrew bloke is a bit wooden! It is good though! Anyone else think the same?

Although this may reek of rose-tinted spectacles I personally think Childrens BBC's best presentation was in the 94-97 era, with a fantastic theme tune and some great visuals.

Agreed. It's a shame no-one can get hold of that music which resurfaced reguarly again in the background on CBBC on Choice. (Is it ever played anymore or is it all latest dance tunes?)

Has anyone got a clip of the yellow version of the ident of the time?

I've looked but all I've got is half the 1994 green ident ... I say half because somebody decided to record an episode of Fawlty Towers slap bang in the middle of it!!

They had a whirlpool of colour (though purple was dominent before the yellow as a background, if i remeber right, didnt they? I always remeber that tune to be followed by Chris Jarvis and Josie D'Arby's version of the song a kid won a competition with;

The background music of this era was used a lot during hot 1998/99, maybe 2000 too. And as many may have seen re surfaced a few months back, within the bugs era on BBC ONE, it was nice though!
