He was wearing a t-shirt with her face on, and regularly refers to her on Twitter.

I didn't realise Ben Hanlin was a CBBC presenter (according to the list on BBC press office), I'd guessed he might have done a guest magic spot or something but not fully fledged presenting.

He did summer links a few years ago - think it was the early days of Salford - didn't last long though as I think he got snapped up by other shows for his magic work.

I didn't think it was interesting they didn't acknowledge But First This at all (or any of the BFT presenters) - which is fine as it didn't come under the CBBC banner at first - but they did have Now on Two with Simon Potter!

I thought it was an excellent show and I don't think we could have asked for more. In reality this really was a one-off, something that will never be repeated again so well done and thanks to all involved.

The following is a slides; to be fair in current TV terms there not often used BUT do still appear if you look for them, mainly from BBC one Scotland and NI.

Here are some classic slides

What are slides in tv terms?

They are still images promoting upcoming programming.

Despite trending highly on Twitter only 100,000 tuned in. I'm not sure what CBBC will usually get at that time. Looks like it was purely for the fans, although I wonder if a 2 hour special on BBC Four aimed only at the fans would have been better.

And Hacker is brilliant. Some of the CBBC links over the last couple of years have made me laugh more than most things on TV.

Agreed - and I think his own show, Hacker Time, has been one of the best things on television in the past few years.

and so-called because they were, originally, 35mm glass-mounted slides. (You may need to ask your parents.)

Incidentally, the programme's producer, Jamie Wilson, and Wilson the Butler. Are they by any chance related, or just a coincidence?

Think you might be right in that they could have got a bigger audience on BBC4...or maybe on both CBBC/BBC4 (obviously at different times due to technical issues).

As for Hacker, I just don't get the love in at all. The programme was generally very good though.

So as a discussion, can we have a list of all the presenters who actually presented in the broom cupboard, not Studio A or the Birthdays desk in said studio, or anything else, but the actual broom cupboard?
