Where there also not on 8.15 from Manchester?

It's plausible. Can't prove it but it's definitely plausible.
Picking random entries from the Genome project, guests on the 8:15 were wide and varied so Paul & Barry would have fitted right in.

I sometimes wonder why the move to Studio 9 didn't wait until the October revamp seeing as it was less than 4 months away, but I seem to remember reading somewhere they had to move when they did because the old Pres area, where Studio A was, was being converted into the digital playout area, so they couldn't hold off until October. It led to the odd thing though where they had a Studio 9 logo based in the 1991-97 CBBC logo that became obsolete after around 3 1/2 months, but could still be seen around the studio until around 2001.

Gosh, Shauna Lowry... one of those many 90s female presenters that were everywhere at some point and then disappeared into oblivion.

She reappeared a few months ago on Countryfile for an item on Northern Ireland, was surprised to see her again. Shauna of course, presented Battersea Dogs Home which was essentially what Paul O'Grady: For The Love Of Dogs does now on ITV.

There's every chance they just assumed the Children's branding would be maintained, with just the BBC logo changing.

Yes that floor was rebuilt for the playout areas for the digital channels, but the two studios themselves weren't redeveloped for a couple of years later. However of course they would have had to have walked through a building site to get to them!

There's no way they'd hold off a major infrastructure project just because of an aesthetic change to a studio. Of course deadlines change, both the opening of the studio and the change of branding weren't necessary going to happen when they did

Pretty strange things to be trailing during a CBBC slot!

Fascinating, been waiting for CBBC Scotland continuity from that era to turn up ever since seeing screengrabs of it on the Private Parts! The person who runs that YouTube channel seemingly recorded/got a hold of a lot of stuff I've been waiting forever to see.

Very strange. I'm guessing the were shown on the network feed at the time. The CBBC slide also seems to be very rushed which makes me think it was over a slide for BBC 2 in the rest of the UK at the time.

Regarding Studio 9, what was with the line of cupboard doors behind the main sofa area?

Would the CBBC announcement have been rushed because there wouldn't have been a hold on the ident?

The cupboard doors would have been behind the gallery monitors. Could they have been used for technical access?

Or is its because Tony wanted to sound fun and happy? Scotland never uses network feeds when it opt outs.
