CBBC Top 40- New look

That's not a DOG on the top right. It's a brief programme graphic which doesn't stay for more than a few seconds. The UK Top 40 actually dumped its permanent Top 40 DOG with the redesign.

I wonder why they're doing this, if they are using CSO throughout the show. The best setup was when they used the old CBBC and XChange studio, as they had all of the lights, screens and balconeys to use.

In my mind it was much nicer to have CBBC, XChange and Newsround within the same studio, what have XChange really done with the extra space?

I wonder why they aren't using the CBBC (One & Two) studio, it's all dark and worked quite well for the programme. Just a CSO screen is the wrong way to go for the programme, as for the change in graphics, it was the only part of CBBC that hasn't changed in any way since the 2002 launch, so it was long overdue, and I don't think it looks too bad, though I haven't watched it. If it were just the graphics that had changed I don't think there would be much problem.

Agreed, but at the end of the day, it was a pain in the arse for rehearsal schedules and the like.

Are they still planning to move CBBC to Manchester?

I agree its not the way this show should go. The bright colours make it patronising. I liked watching the show when it was hosted by Konnie and Adrian because it seemed to resist going down the Top of the Pops Saturday route of generic children's programme. I presume the show will disappear at some point when the BBC moves TOTP to Sunday.
