And remember rightly or wrongly ITV already axed him once.

With it being on ITV2 - and a rather strange commission for them IMO - I wonder if it might be advertiser funded.

With Nannie Pat and Argie or whatever they are called from TOWIE....


How bland choice is Stephen Mulhern if true. ITV need to think outside the very limited box they currently seem to work to

The pilot of the new Catchphrase is being filmed next month.

ITV1’s bid to revive Catch Phrase has taken a step forward after the broadcaster ordered a pilot of the classic gameshow hosted by Stephen Mulhern.

The original Pasetta Productions and Steven Radosh-produced Catch Phrase format is owned by DRG and has been updated with 3D graphics and a fresh end game.

The Mulhern-fronted pilot will be filmed at London Studios on 27 August.

Are there tickets avaliable for the pilot yet or will it just be done in front of ITV staff?

He should have stuck to what he did best, The Quick Trick Show

Stephen Mulhern!? Really! Who the hell makes these kinds of decisions? He has no charisma at all. We need someone older with proper comic chops to do a show like that. Challenge made a great pick with Simon Mayo for example in my opinion. Yes he's not exactly the funniest of people, but he doesn't have that whole irritating Vernon Kay and Stephen Mulhern cheeky chappy presenting style that annoys me so It's all about the programme

Who wouldn't watch "Jack Dee's Catchphrase"?

I do like that idea!, At least someone at Thames click you don't need ITV person to do a show, like Simon. I still think Paul O grady could be good or would that be for Strike it rich or Blanklty blank.

Three good reasons to ignore this cheap pile of rubbish.
