Catchphrase returns

I knew it was to good to be true...

The dreaded viewer competition has reared its ugly head!!

Surely it's only bad news if you're a moron or have some sort of gambling addiction. Otherwise you may as well class it as an advert.

If anything, for fans of the show I'd class it as good news.

It looked ridiculous. Mulhern was out of vision for all of the competition read. We just got some random shots of the contestants, probably taken from elsewhere in the episode. It was clearly done in post-production rather then being part of the programme. Kind of the reverse of what we see with the old Catchphrase episode on Challenge[TV], those episodes have the odd moment when the competition has been edited out, these episodes have the odd moment on first broadcast where the competition has been edited in. On the plus side, when these episodes are shown on Challenge[TV] in 3 - 10 years time, they will look fine. Nice of ITV to think ahead and help Challenge[TV] like that.

Actually enjoyed tonight's celebrity edition! Stephen was absolutely hilarious with the celebs and they seemed to bounce of him really well, especially Rosemary Schrager.
