It was quite a faithful reboot of the show although I skipped through most of it on ITV Player. Not a fan of Stephen Mulhern at all, he's just a rent-a-presenter with very little charisma or charm. Also don't like the CGI animations. Cheap and nasty CGI never looks good. Mr Chips looks more dodgy in this reboot than in the 1994 opening titles. I'd rather they'd stuck with the 2D cartoon catchphrases of the Nick Weir era as they were at least quite charming.

Charming? They were tripe. It's the one thing I detested about that era.

I don't have a problem with Mulhern.

Exactly that's all you can say about him.

I actually found Mulhern quite funny, his faces after a few 'weird' answers etc l!

Not exactly original though. Pretty sure Vernon Kay does that.

I'm not a fan of Vernon Kay, he comes across as smug. Mulhern doesn't...

Nice to see Jonny Gould pop up again even though it's just in voiceover format

According to reports on Bother's Bar, at least some of these were recorded afterwards.

And Bruce Forsyth, Larry Grayson, Graham Norton, Peter Simon, Dame Edna Everage, Anne Robinson, Jim Bowen, Chris Tarrant, Noel Edmunds etc.

The end game is a bit unfair as well because there's loads of time wasted on the animations before you actually see what you're meant to be guessing. On one of them there was a duck swimming along a lake for a few seconds and then swan past a 'sitting duck' in a chair. The first few seconds of the duck swimming were just filler to make the prizes harder to win!

The throwback to the original music sounds good!

I love the modernised theme!!!
Here's the previous versions.

First two themes, as used with the first logo.

Theme tune 3 with the second logo

And the final version from the original run.

It makes a nice change to see the old music given another remix instead of being completely replaced (like Family Fortunes).

The oddest thing is that it is indeed a re-arrangement of the original theme music, which a lot of people which saw the show when it was last on might not have been familar with, because after 1994 they replaced the original theme with a sound-alike, it was very similar in compisition but wasn't the same melody. The final version on the original run (from 2001 or so?) was a re-arrangement of the 1994 theme which no longer even sounds like it was trying to ape the original. I presume the theme tune change in 1994 was due to rights issues?

The music sounds fantastic on the ITV Player as it doesn't have any voiceover, and the audience is faded out within a couple of seconds...
