It's quite refreshing I must admit. I wonder what the end credits will be like? Probably the boring white on black ones.

I think you are probably right although there is a small chance they could go with an animation of Mr. Chips doing various things like climbing ladders, unicycling and juggling like in the old days.

10/10 from me, A really good effort and just an enough updating to make it move with the times but still has all the minor things that make it connect with viewers off old.

They had to squeeze the credits as the music composer credit appeared on screen. Did anyone see who composed the new theme?

Music was by Marc Sylvan and Richard Jacques.

Marc Sylvan and someone else. No mention of Ed Welch.

I give it a 6 out of 10. The refreshed theme tune was superb, the gameplay and the graphics were OK, but not impressed with Stephen Mulhern, seemed to put the players down a bit too much.

The end game was good, but not superb.

The host was OK. But the changes worked well, I liked the endgame.

I missed the titles at ITV.com seem to pumping out ITV 3 on the stream for ITV.

"Get Up and Go" clearly put in to try and prevent the £50k and holiday being won. A pretty obscure animation to used to signify that.

The opening round with three was a bit pointless - either keep the three until the end of the second round or just cut it to 30 minutes and stick with two. Otherwise though it's exactly as you'd expect really - though amazed to see an ITV show without a viewer competition.

Well... there's bits I liked and bits I didn't like.

I liked that they kept the same sound effects and theme tune albeit updated and the studio was quite nice too.

Didn't see the point of the first round at all, might as well have had two players for all of the show if they're only going to be on for 5 minutes.

It really didn't flow very well. With the Catchphrase keeping on pausing when they buzzed it was extremely clunky and not very fast paced.

And Stephen just was quite annoying, he didn't much charisma or charm with the contestants and really disliked the fact he made the contestants out to be stupid, Roy would never have done that!

So in conclusion, There's been a few too many unnecessary changes. They could have kept the show how it was before with the glossy graphics and it would have been fine.

I'd use a certain catchphrase but it doesn't warrant it. So overall, It's OK... But it's not right.

The throwback to the original music sounds good!

I love the modernised theme!!!
Here's the previous versions.

First two themes, as used with the first logo.

Theme tune 3 with the second logo

And the final version from the original run.

It makes a nice change to see the old music given another remix instead of being completely replaced (like Family Fortunes).

I wouldn't say it was "clearly" done that way. Granted, not very clear as Catchprases go, but then the top one isn't supposed to be easy (I got it easily enough though).

I thought the whole point of gameshows is that they're dirt cheap to produce and can afford to be generous on prizes. Although I must say, without the possibility of losing everything at the last moment I found the final round pretty boring.

Not completely terrible, but would've been much more entertaining (as would anything) with Barry from Eastenders hosting.
