£50,000 isn't exactly huge for a primetime quiz these days.


I would imagine it is for STV though...


The prize money comes from the programme's budget, not the company's. It makes no difference if it was made by STV or ITV Studios, it all depends on how much money they were given to make it.

Naturally the prize money's going to be bigger for this than one of STV's cheap regional quiz shows.

Bit weird for the Bonus Catchphrase not to go down in value when the contestants get it wrong though.

It never did when it began, I think the money in the bonus bank began to go down when production was moved from TVS to Carlton.

It's quite refreshing I must admit. I wonder what the end credits will be like? Probably the boring white on black ones.
