I wonder if Holby City and Holby Blue will have similar titles?

I dont think Holby city and Holby blue will have similar titles becouse Holby blue is a police drama. I didnt know about it untill you said.

Not a fan of the new theme, at all. It's probably nothing like it, but, listening to that theme brought back memories of Juliet Bravo.

Watching the old titles on the Casualty website, I have to agree, the original theme used for the first 11 series was the best, although I had no objection to the last theme.

I was really hopeful that they would base it on the original.

I can't see personally why they couldn't have reverted. I don't think it would be seen as 'undo-ing-a-mistake', twenty-year anniversary (sorry it has a name like Jubilee [25]) is an ideal time to bring back the old tune. I personally think it would have had more of an effect.

It was but there was a different closing theme from series 13 onwards.

...sorry... really do not like the new titles, theme nor logo for that matter... but that does not mean to say that I will not still tune into the best British medical drama series on TV.... overall... a good opening episode, and congrats to Casualty for 20 Years on BBC 1!... here's to the next 20!

"Reality check: this is a hospital, not an episode of 'Trisha'!";
… but it is an episode of 'Casualty' :p!

20 years. To think, I was only 3 months old when the first episode aired....

I'm going by what is on the BBC Casualty website, which claims that the opening theme remained the same for the first 11 series... but changed for series 12, with a shorter prelude (17 seconds as opposed to 26 seconds). The same theme, perhaps, but an edited version certainly.

If you know better than the show's own website, you should inform them of their error.

Series 8 to 11 (1993 -1997) were the titles when I started watching. I used to love the pulse sound - thats what made the original theme brilliant.

The siren at the beginning [edit] of the first opening theme-tune [end of edit] had a mallet-like echo on. It was very hospital-y. I think it was its pristeness. It rang, echoed, then stopped. Then it rang, echoed, then stopped whilst also resembling a siren, and one of those heart-rate-measurer-thingys (what is the name of them :s?) with synthisised strings playing a little-melody in between. The first arrangement seems the most hospital-y.

There is, in my opinion, at least, a very spider-y feel to it, which is camaflauged, by synth' strings. Real strings just boasts this 'spider-y'-effect, in my opinion. Not that spiders are bad, of course, it is just not a show about spiders Razz!

I really do not like the music. I liked both the original and the previous to this theme, but this is just terrible!

I do like the titles though, but there is one flaw. I do not like to see images of the cast in the titles. Comfort is in those titles, towards the end when it starts to get more "racey", and she's leaving in November! And Abs has been in it too long to not be killed, paralysed or feel the need to have a nervous break-down thus moving on, so he'll probably leave soon, and Kelsey will soon be off I predict too!

They're my thoughts - plus, yet another copy of ER from Casualty!

Also, has anybody got the titles which I could save to my hard disk?
