But I know and you know - you are only responding to my comments because it's me who's making them and your main concern, above legitimate debate, is point-scoring over me. I don't want to be fighting with you all the time Gavin but you are always the one to throw the punches.

And in response to your last point, and as someone who suffers from panic attacks (is it any wonder?) I can tell you the "benefits" of a dose of shock are rapidly negated within about ten seconds, then it's back to square one.

For that you have my sympathy. I've had one too, and they're indescribably awful.

I'd be extremely concerned if your comment in parentheses is suggesting that I am responsible for producing the onset of such an experience.

Have I misunderstood?

The short answer is no, but it is fair to say I find dealing with you very stressful at times.

I'm glad to hear it, the first part at least.

I find our discussions quite useful, and stimulating. You articulate your thoughts well. Whether we agree or not is beside the point sometimes.

Has something been done to the filmic effect this week? It looked a bit different and more like video again than it has the last couple of weeks.

I noticed no difference. It was still filmic to me (which I have no issue with).

It appeared to have the same filmic effect to me on tonight's episode. It does however make the hospital look rather dark, whereas most hospitals are quite brightly lit.

I'm sure it's just my perception though. The filmic effect certainly makes the transition between interior and exterior shots much smoother.

You're not the only that thinks this. I just wish they'd brighten it up!

Saw a full episode for the first time tonight. Really disappointing.

They may have tweaked the lighting and added a 25p film-effect to the motion - but they haven't done it very well. It still screams video - but now it screams "we're shooting on video but a bit embarassed about it, so we're poorly attempting a film look."

It no longer feels real and no longer has an immediacy about it - but the film effect is so unconvincing that it certainly doesn't confer high budget values on the show. It just makes it look like Home and Away - except worse...

The lighting had improved 100% last night but we still have that ruddy film look...

Simon, this comment deeply worries me.

You are on an internet forum. 'Dealing with Gavin' is surely not a problem, unless you have a hatred and a phobia of being wrong? Most of us do not like being wrong but at least some people can accept it.

I say this for your own good, not to patronise or to make a fool of you, but a television presentation forum should not cause stress or give anyone the impetus (sp?) to have panic attacks.

Perhaps it's time you took a break, Simon - for your own sake, as well as others.

Yesterday, the music used was the version before series 21. Was this intentional or was it a mistake. Well I definately prefer that version but the titles are to fast for it.

This was intentional. The "pre series 21" music has been used for all of this series so far.
