Yes. It's a class act, a little more American (and they did ER very well for years - so why can't we learn from that?) and real instruments, at least to me, invoke 'real people' involved in Casualty.
Yeah I thought the normal Casualty theme tune was a bit ... harsh sounding in a way for such a moving episode.
Sorry I don't even know if that makes sense lol
It's always harsh-sounding at the end of episodes. They really ought to come up with some new arrangement, as it completely ruins the tone of the show. Casualty is always well-written, but when you get that tune at the end, it leaves a bit of a bad taste.
Only just watching the episode now - there's some absolutely beautiful cinematography in it.
The series has now ended - is the next one going to be in HD? If so, is the set up to that? There was no dramatic fire/explosion/man smashing up the hospital in a rage to mask the makeover.

I would have thought they'll wait until they move to Cardiff before doing that.

then there could say it was part of refurbishment works....

We're not filming in HD yet. We're not quite sure when the switch is going to happen, but we're ready to make the switch when we need to. We had our set revamped two years ago and it's HD-ready...
When they announced this year's launch of BBC One HD, I'm pretty sure Casualty was one of the programmes to be in HD, so maybe it will be around the time of that launch.
