Confused:

I am somewhat confused. I always thought that this was live (I know I'm 40 going on 50 but am not going senile). It is obvious that tonight's is a recording as there is daylight showing through the windows.

When did this become a recorded programme?
When was it recorded?

It's live on Radio 4 at 3pm.

The TV version is a different service, recorded some days (weeks?) in advance.

Was it just the TV I was watching on or were the sound levels a bit all over the place on this? The music was really loud but the speech was very quiet.

No it's the same service. Live on radio, replayed and maybe edited on telly.

I can't say for sure when the programme was prerecorded, but I do know that it wasn't delivered until Wednesday.

No, it's definitely a different service - as thegeek confirms.

Some of the music is different and the readers are different too I think. ISTR a different chorister does the opening solo for the TV version, as they don't know till the last minute which of them it will be.
