How did ITV2 handle the programme change tonight. Would have been odd to say it was suspended due to her death and then go "Here's You've Been Framed".

You weren't far off...

"Well, in light of today's sad news, we're replacing tonight's episode of Love Island: Unseen Bits with a double bill of You've Been Framed."

Wouldn't be surprised if Unseen Bits ends up airing in place of tomorrows Love Island as I'd imagine it was delivered for broadcast before the news broke and it'll give them another 24 hours before having to make a call on broadcasting any further episodes.

ITV should really cancel Love Island for good after this...
I swear if another vulnerable person who was involved with the show dies, I'll be very disappointed and concerned.

She was fab on the Xtra Factor. And her Charleston on Strictly was phenomenal, my favourite alongside Sophie Ellis-Bextor's. RIP Caroline.

But Unseen Bits is heavily made up of “funnies” and clips edited together in a comedic sequence - so probably not the right tone.

Tonight’s news is incredibly sad. Caroline was a phenomenal talent and deservedly worked her way up from kids telly onto primetime ITV. However, Love Island wasn’t about “her”. Her death was also totally unrelated to the show. So it would be strange for ITV to axe the show permanently. Maybe they could rest it till next summer though.

Absolutely agree with that though the longer they hold it off the more difficult it may be to bring it back. It was rumoured to be delayed until after Euro 2020 this year, so a mid-July start rather than early June. That might be sufficient, and in terms of the duty of care to other who work on the show it may not be in their best interests for the show to be delayed until next year.

I don't think though anyone at ITV will be making a decision on the next series in the next couple of weeks. They need to work out how they're going to wrap this series first.

Social media has just turned into the Collaseium of Roman days nowadays, a baying mob just waiting for someone else to slip up just so they can use warm their grubby mits on someone else's mistakes.

Earlier I went on Twitter and the usual suspects were piling on Jamelia Jamil.

The mixture of the tabloid press and social media is a toxic one. It is quite heartening that one of the most trending subjects on Twitter tonight is 'The Scum'

Another hashtag worth checking out is #CarolinesLaw, this is after actress Stephanie Davis posted a video on Twitter and a post on Instagram. It's fair to say Ms Davis is another female performer who has had some rough dealings with the red tops.

Desperately sad news. It’s horrible to imagine how down someone must be feeling that they see this as the only way out.

I worry that Twitter in particular has become toxic. I can’t even begin to imagine how I’d feel if there was a website where people constantly commented on how I do my job, how I look, what I’m wearing, making jokes at my expense, but that’s what anybody even vaguely in the public eye has to deal with now.

The Jesy Nelson doc was a real eye opener of how toxic social media can be.

Virgin Media Ireland had pulled an episode of Love Island from VM One's schedule after news broke on Caroline Flack's passing.

There has been more notable tweet's from Ireland about Caroline Flack's passing.

The 1st one is from Laura Whitmore. Current presenter of Love Island.

The one after that I found interesting is from Josepha Madigan. Irish Government Minister for Culture, Heritage & Gaeltacht.

They had to, due to ITV2 not airing it either.
