There was a drama a while back called Press that centred around to newspapers that totally wasn't The Guardian and The Sun. One storyline was the paper that totally wasn't The Sun ran a campaign about a schoolboy who was called out as a bully following a video going viral. He killed himself, and after that, the boss decided they wanted justice for the schoolboy and how much of a tragedy his death was.

That whole series was far too close to reality.

It's actually on iPlayer right now

I doubt they'll make a call on that until tomorrow at the earliest, if not Monday.

Isn't there an episode on Sunday?

Yep, easy call to pull it tonight, it's an unseen bits clip show that rates poorly compared to the rest of the series. Tomorrow is the normal series and a much bigger decision for ITV

They can suspend it's return though - Aftersun seems likely to be pulled on Monday so a double episode could air on Monday if they continue with the show. I think they'll hold off as feelings on the matter will be different Monday morning than tonight - might be seen as the right thing to do to continue it on Monday compared to tonight.

What a horribly tragic situation. Going on Twitter its just a cesspit. One group saying social media killed Caroline, one saying ITV killed her, another saying The S*n killed her. Then you have celebs who probably should know better throwing petrol to the fire by agreeing with the various groups. Caroline was clearly unwell and in a horrendous state of mind to do what she did. 40 is no age to die.

Social media has just turned into the Collaseium of Roman days nowadays, a baying mob just waiting for someone else to slip up just so they can use warm their grubby mits on someone else's mistakes.

Ant McPartlin was trending as well.

People complaining not about the negative treatment Caroline got, but the fact that Ant didn’t receive the same.

Yeah maybe. I think even a "suspended until Monday" decision tomorrow is still a strong statement of intent for the future of the show from ITV. I don't think anyone was expecting them to make a decision of the future of the current series tonight, but bare in mind that the ITV have to be both respectful of the public mood, as well as the duty of care to a large crew in South Africa who will be massively affected by this news beyond the next couple days. I don't think this is one of those "tomorrow's chip wrapping" sort of stories personally.

How did ITV2 handle the programme change tonight. Would have been odd to say it was suspended due to her death and then go "Here's You've Been Framed".

You weren't far off...

"Well, in light of today's sad news, we're replacing tonight's episode of Love Island: Unseen Bits with a double bill of You've Been Framed."

Remember when News of the World was just tits, bingo and soap star affairs then it was discovered they where hacking dead teenager's mobile then the death star exploded and they were forced to change.

This feels like it should be that situation again. Remember when social media was prying on your ex girlfriends Ibiza pics, watching videos of panda's sneezing and discovering the next Arctic Monkeys. Now we have witch hunts, ghouls and bullys that cause people to kill themselves. You'd think things would change... They aren't going to are they...

I grew up watching Caroline on TMI with Sam and Mark on CBBC. She was such a great presenter who I felt slightly changed after she left TMI but despite that, she was an amazing presenter who didn’t deserve all of the criticism and negative press.

My thoughts are with her family at this very sad time.

As regards Dan Wooton, I'm going to block him on Twitter, not that it'll make much difference to him like.

Earlier I went on Twitter and the usual suspects were piling on Jamelia Jamil.

The mixture of the tabloid press and social media is a toxic one. It is quite heartening that one of the most trending subjects on Twitter tonight is 'The Scum'

For those interested, the second episode of YBF was introduced with a more generic announcement...

"You're watching ITV2. Now, something you may not be expecting. We've a change to our advertised programme."
