Didn’t think presenters would be vulnerable as they are trained to deal with it but maybe they aren’t Sad

Presenters are people too. We're all vulnerable to poor mental health.

I wonder if there is a deeper backstory to this? - such as if she'd recently been informed that ITV were dropping her completely etc. It will also be interesting to see what support her employer had offered.

It shouldn't be forgotten that she was about to go on trial with the prospect of a prison sentence and whether guilty or innocent the prospect of a trial and conviction would weigh heavy on the mind.

Only yesterday The Sun ran a story about a joke Valentine’s Day card that poked fun at her, so they were still hounding her.

And they've now deleted that from their webite. And several of the other articles they made attacking her. We really do have the worst press in the world.

No Love Island tonight, nothing about the rest of the series yet.

I doubt they'll make a call on that until tomorrow at the earliest, if not Monday.

Don't know if this is the right place but reading about Caroline Flack has made me think again about how we all have our problems. We may look to the outside world that we have it all but inside we have our problems, our issues and our troubles. We'll never know what was going through her mind but the fact that she chose to take her own life shows that she didn't feel she had a choice. Last year I decided to get help and I'm so glad I did. What I'm saying is this. Whatever you're going through you don't have to go through it alone. RIP Caroline xxx

Yep, easy call to pull it tonight, it's an unseen bits clip show that rates poorly compared to the rest of the series. Tomorrow is the normal series and a much bigger decision for ITV

I reckon they'll probably finish off this series, maybe not having a live final. But won't have a second series this year and will rest it.

As a journalism graduate I have to agree.

There was a drama a while back called Press that centred around to newspapers that totally wasn't The Guardian and The Sun. One storyline was the paper that totally wasn't The Sun ran a campaign about a schoolboy who was called out as a bully following a video going viral. He killed himself, and after that, the boss decided they wanted justice for the schoolboy and how much of a tragedy his death was.

That whole series was far too close to reality.
bkman1990 and james-2001 gave kudos
