Caroline Flack has died

This news stopped me in my tracks when I first saw it. I remember first watching her on Saturday mornings on the BBC on TMi.

Gifted presenter, it's really tragic.

This is such sad news. Loved watching TMI with Caroline, Sam and Mark when I was younger.

I know that Jon, I'm sure that we'll keep a respectful tone. I never watched Love Island and the first I knew about her was when she had an affair with Harry Styles. Irrespective of that a woman has died at a terribly young age. God knows what her family are going through right now.

Jesus. That's absolutely horrific. May she R.I.P.

I wonder if Love Island will be affected or if they’ll carry on as normal. I can imagine they’ll have a tribute either with the highlights today or Laura will mention it tomorrow.

Same here I saw the Sky News strap say TV presenter....and I thought someone in their 70's or 80's had died then read Caroline Flack and was shocked and at just 40 too

I first became aware of her when she was presenting Fash FC with Andy Goldstein which was a programme on Bravo, which ran through an entire football season. I didn’t quite expect her to become quite so famous, but she clearly had some charisma about her so it wasn’t too surprising.

I think it’s difficult for them to carry on with Love Island now, I know she wasn’t put through the situation as a contestant would be but it just feels like too much tragedy is linked to the show including for the face the show. However it’s making lots of money and people still enjoy it, so I wonder.

Fully expecting ITV to pull the entire show. That’s it. Done and dusted. Three deaths connected to the brand. It’s tainted. Say goodbye to Love Island.

Yeah I think that’s it for Love Island it will be remembered for the wrong reasons.

Flicked over to Sky News, where some guest on the phone was pouring over some of her ex-boyfriends, and hypothesising that Valentine's Day might have tipped her over the edge.

And we wonder why the media has a bad rep for augmenting mental health issues of those in the public eye.

I'd be very surprised if tonight's Unseen Bits aired. I wouldn't be surprised if Aftersun was scrapped.

There's only actually 7 main episodes left so it will be interesting to see what happens. Laura was friends with Caroline and no doubt Iain was too so I've be surprised if it continued in its current form this week. You can't expect Iain to carry on with his cheery VO just a day later.

It's been a while since news of the death of a celebrity has made me feel genuinely awful. It's very sad.

Especially if it’s deemed by hypocritical press not enough support was given to her by her ITV bosses.
