The Body Shop animal testing quandary is put to a Body Shop Assistant Manager

Was that line reused for both The Mrs Merton Show and The Royle Family?

I don't think it was, but it was put to the audience as a dilemma when the series was produced (in the episode where she interviews Barbara Windsor, just before the interview itself).

I'm pretty sure Nanna says it to Barbara in one of the Christmas episodes about a present she's received that wasn't tested on animals.

I was talking about very early on, you might get a bit of The Time The Place or whatever early in a morning, but I doubt it was ever intended as a proper sustaining service - it may not even have been intentional given the implications of such a simulcast. Perhaps it was just used as a TV for staff until the big rushes started back then?

In addition, I don't recall seeing Meadowhall themselves using it that much, aside from the playout, it was pretty much YTVs base for down the line/ small pickups, much like the upstairs of Radio Sheffield is for the BBC.

Tonight on C4 is a "Gogglebox Brexit Special", the first Gogglebox proper since Aherne died, wonder if there will be a tribute of some sort at the end, or if they'll wait until the series returns in the autumn?

They have said there will be a small tribute. I'm not sure what form it will take other than the programme will play out with the theme tune to The Royle Family.

Exactly what it was. But I think that was about the right tone sometimes subtle is better and more tasteful.
