FACT 1: Crossroads was an ATV show, revamped by Central and revamped yet again 'cos ITV lost Home & Away to Channel 5.
FACT 2: Crossroads viewing figures stand at around 2.1m, behind both BBC1 & BBC2 at the same time slot
Now can someone name me a good original Carlton production!

I don't care who owns them as long as there is some indication of my region either the name (LWT) or in the BBC Style (ITV 1 London)

I blatantly prefer N&D to C'roads. But then, I blatantly preferred Thames to Carlton - nearly nine years and I still haven't got over it! Thames cared about making quality programmes for their money, Carlton just wanna take the money and run. That's how I've always seen it, anyway...

I prefer Crossroads myself.. anyway in my opinion all 'Carlton' productions made in Birmingham/Nottingham are Central productions. Have Carlton London made any networked shows?!
I will never warm to Carlton because they are not my local station in the same way as Thames was. Carlton barely had the London licence five minutes when they bought Central and Westcountry, which shows that Carlton is power hungry corporation which couldn't give two hoots about regional identity Thames was London and proud of it in a similar way to that in which HTV is proud to be Welsh. Thames was a lot more associated with London than Carlton is, Carlton is just another faceless conglomerate whereas Thames was the London station.
BRING BACK THE LONDON STATION - BRING BACK THAMES!

Why keep going on about Thames?
that was in the days of proper regional TV ie. THE PAST.
Granada are just as power hungry as Carlton - big deal, they need to be to survive.
And if Thames was still going they'd probably be doing exactly what Carlton and Granada have done.
