Indeed it has! As explained on the offline page, I really wanted to wait and do it all in one big go with the new host, software and design but the connection problem was just getting ridiculous. Of course the same problem could occur again over here but let's hope not.

I don't know about anyone else but I can really tell the difference in the speed of the site. The old site took around 7secs to bring back the first bits of data whereas here is around 0.3secs for UK visitors! Hopefully the site will be a bit more reliable now

Oh yes, I'm not going to throwaway what I've done so far but now there isn't as much pressure on getting it done, tested and online by the end of the year means it'll be "sometime in the future" now.

Hurrah, the days of server saying it's busy even though there is only 2 people online is over!
